Feeling super frustrated we got an rfe, waiting on our letter from them 3 days and counting. I was hoping to get over there by June as I can't fly our dogs July to Sept but I'm not sure now.

So I called NVC yesterday. I call every Monday and Friday. I had been getting the canned response of "Sir, it can take up to 45 days for it to be received and processed."  Yesterday the super nice lady told me it should be completed no later than the 11th. It was a welcomed change in response. They've always been very polite and helpful. Just letting you all know.

Ray&Ash, you were the only one approved on the 2oth right? I check on the portal time line and I only see your approval with that date.

is that becuase of what you were saying that the system is not being updated somehow?

From my NOA2 to visa approval was only six and a half weeks - seven weeks to visabeing issued  so:

 

if your RFE is turned around quickly you could have your NOA2 in the next three weeks (late March/early April) - you could well have your visa before the end of May.

Of course not dear, im sure there are many more, its just that i updated my timeline really quickly

Yes system was not updated on 20th..so 20th approvals will be visible today 21st. I have noticed the cases close to mine also getting status updates today. Request all to please refresh their apps or check on uscis website

it took ours about three weeks to get to the embassy but i scheduled the medical as soon as i got my case number from the NVC (two and a half weeks after the NOA2 date). by the time the letter arrived from the embassy it was a couple of days before my medical and i was able to schedule my interview for 12 days after the medical. (see my signature for timeline)

 

I was prepared so that everything else was ready (ds-160 ready to file, i-134 in hand, vaccinations, medical reports etc)

I've been checking the status it says "In Transit" and this "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center. " but I didn't receive anything with an interview date also would it say embassy received or something when it arrives there?

Don't believe you can schedule until it's in ready status.

No, ignore the bit about 'your interview date' - this is a standard status which applies to other cases - but the same case status is used for k1 visas as others.

the case status wil change to 'Ready' (then you can schedule your interview) and a few days after the beneficiary will get a letter from the embassy telling them to schedule the medical and the interview.

so should we schedule the interview after the status change to ready or should we wait until my fiance receive the instructions from the embassy? also when should i start the affidavit support?

Called the uscis today and they said that they update the "processing dates" every month. She said that they updated it last week (was actually 2.5 weeks ago that I noticed it updated) and said that we should be hearing something within 3 weeks... somehow... I don't believe her at all! With 2-4 cases for Nov 3rd being processed each week and 20 cases still pending, unless someone gets their rear end in gear and gets moving, I don't know how 2x3 = 20 or how even 4x3 = 20 in anyone's world.
