2/5/07 - 2 Year Green Card arrives!!! YAY!!!!

5/10/08 - Received RI Driver's License!

11/10/08 - Removing Conditions - Sent package out!

11/19/08 - Received Notice of Action - 1 year extension on my current green card - now waiting for biometrics letter.

11/28/08 - Received biometrics letter.

12/12/08 - Biometrics appointment - 10am.

01/13/09 - Still waiting............

06/08/09 - Card in production and on it's way!

06/22/09 - Received 10 Year Green Card! YAY!!

Haha!!! No, 10 more hours! She is about 5 hours from landing in Minneapolis. Then a 3 hour wait there then a 2 hour flight to Peoria.

I have only got 3 hours sleep. I have been moping floors, cleaning the kitchen and I am about to start the last load of laundry. I don't want her to feel like doing any cleaning when she gets here. She is a very good housekeeper and I am trying to impress her. In reality I am the biggest slob that has ever lived! It has taken me 2 weeks to wade through the mess and get this place up to standards.

Wow Gary, she is almost here woohoo! I can imagine you all crazy cleaning, I need to make some space when my SO gets here too, so much to do... :wacko: But what a wonderful feeling! :D

This is so great, it reminds me of four months ago with me on the plane with my son and Larry frantically cleaning the house for my arrival!

Gary ~ You and Luz make such a fantastic couple and I'm so very happy that in just a few short hours you will be together. I expect there will be some earthquakes in IL tonight, so many that I'll feel them in the next state over! :lol:

Did you get any sleep at all!! Arrival 5pm central time...what time are you going to leave for the airport? now? :P I think I was at the airport an hour befor ethe flight, just in case :blush: I am just so happy for all of you. You are a beautiful family.

I got 3 hours sleep. I got up and cleaned everything again. Her flight arrives at 5PM so I will go there at 4:30. Peoria is a VERY small airport. 5 gates. They even said I could meet her at the gate.

It's getting closer! 9 more hours!!!!

This is such a fantastic thread!! I share in everyone's excitement over Luz's and Robin's arrival .. but I'm pretty sure all our excitement combined can't even get close to how you feel Gary!

Best wishes on the first day of a wonderful life with your family!!

Don't forget the warm coats and maybe something warm to put over their heads!

Ok, the appartment is a clean and shiny as a new penny! My last load of laundry is ready to go in the dryer and I am going to the market now to get tonights meal. I think I will get the car washed also! 8 more hours!!!!!!
