And thank you Gary for introducing Luz to VJ. It'd be a far more boring place without her to light it up. Wishing you both many more years of happiness together. (F)

Hey guys! I wanted to resurrect this old thread as a way of marking Luz and Robins 1 year anniversary of arriving in America! One year ago today my life forever changed for the better. It's been a very interesting year that has been filled with major milestones. Of course the biggie is we got married on April 23. That was the best day of my life! May of last year we moved from my small apartment and into a duplex that we lived in for almost a year. November saw Luz and Robin getting their green cards. Then of course our first Christmas together was a very important time in our lives. February is when Luz and I bought our house together. Then in March Luz gets her first job and then yesterday Luz buys her first car!

It's been a wonderful year and I am so glad we could share it with our VJ friends. Having you guys here to give us support through the hard times and to help us celebrate the good times has been a Godsend. Thank you all.

The next milestone- our one year wedding anniversary on April 23!

You confused the hell out of me when I read the post! Don't do that on weekends when my brain is turned off!

To be honest it only seems like a few months. Time really flew by this year. I asked Luz and she said the same thing, it only seemed like a few months. At the same time her and Robin have acclimated so well the do seem to be right at home. At any rate, my time with Luz and Robin have been a real blessing. It's good that I finally did something right when I chose Luz as the one I want to spend my life with. There just isn't anyone better for me in this world.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I am in total "can't sit still" mode here. Luz will arrive in 30 hours and my head is spinning!:dance::dance: As some of you may know this has been a 3 year long ordeal for us. It seemed that there were non-stop roadblocks for three years straight. We overcame them one-at-a-time and our reward is now close. I just can't picture the moment when Luz and Robin step off of the airplane tomorrow afternoon. It all just doesn't seem real yet.

Luz and I had our last web chat last night. She is in Manila and she talked to me from a cafe near the hotel. That will seem weird. Other than my visits there, for three years all I saw of her was over a web cam. It will be nice to have a conversation with her without a cam freezing or the mic stopping.

My life is about to radically change. I have been alone for a long time now and I try to imagine Luz and Robin living our daily lives together. It's the little things I look forward to most. Dinner with a family, family vacations, sunday outings together and just having a normal life for a change. And to have these things with a woman that I am absolutely nuts about makes the future seem like heaven.

Thanks for the forum to drivel on. I just needed to let it out before I explode!

Good luck to you and Luz. You deserve all the happiness in the world...
