Not to throw you a curve but the only problem with the information that you were told that she checked in at the gate is that since she flew NWA all the way they probably issued her the boarding card in Manila...

YMMV

I hope you hear something soon...congratulations on your big day!!! You must be on pins and needles waiting!!!!! I was waiting for ages at O'Hare when David and Chris came over; nearly everyone had gone and they sneaked up behind me and nearly scared me to death!!!! I was so worried, but they had to go to another part of the airport since he brought his dog and cat with him.

We're just over in Bloomington so try to keep the noise down tonight, okay? :P

Take care and best wishes! (F) Maybe we can meet up for supper sometime since we live so closeby.

Don't worry Gary, I feel that bit of information that she has check in can put you at ease a bit, At least you know she's here. Some airport only has those phone with the swipe card, maybe she packed the card, stay strong shhe's going to be there in a few.

Sounds like it's near unanimous that O'Hare......is a night"mare"....(har..har..)

Okay...bad joke.... but still. The point is, seems like everyone who has gone through there has nothing good to say about it.

Now....as for the "actual" city of Chicago. That's a totally different story. I went there for the first time last year, with my wife when she was visiting me, and it was a great city.

Anyways.....As so many are saying...........a lot of these airports do NOT have phones in the customs area.

Also, makes sense your wife's plane is delayed. I have had CNN Headline News on in the background, and I have heard them report that many of the airports in the Northeast and Midwest are very delayed.

Welcome to plane travel in the USA.

I wouldn't say any of our experiences with O'Hare was bad at all (David just happened to have to go to a different area than the actual gate I was waiting at when he moved here). Every time he's gone through O'Hare has been a good enough experience (for lack of a better term). <_<

The Windy City is a great one. For a city, anyway...give me the country life any day.
