June 11 05-Married George, civil ceremony in New York

May 30 08-Baby Joshua was born

Jan 15-Back to NY we go...

May 10-made decision not to go back overseas.

July 10-filed for divorce

Jan 11-Divorce final

July 11-1st trip to take Josh to see George

I gave her a pre-paid phone card and instructions on how to use it. It seems that she should have cleared immigrations and customs by now. It's been 3 hours since she landed.

It's a holiday week-end, lots of travelers, give her and Robin time to collect their bags and move to the next gate. She doesn't know her next flight is delayed just yet I image. No need to worry. You and Luz paid all your dues in the process, no road bumps at this point!

Are you positive that she actually landed? If so....that IS a long time with no contact.

But I ask, because one tme, flying from Istanbul to Chicago O'Hare......the plane was about 1 1/2 to 2 hours behind schedule.............and then when I landed, the lines to get through customs were HUGE. Not only that, there is NO phone in that area. None at all.......

I had to ...um.."coax" ;) .......a security guard to allow me out of the area, to phone my wife. My plane was so late that time, that the airlines (Turkish Airlines)...put me up in a hotel that night free of charge, because the delay was so bad.

I was not able to call my wife and let her know that I had landed in Chicago, until hours after the expected arrival.

If that was the case with your wife, obviously...the phone card wouldn't help......when there is no phone around to actually use it on...

Just wanted to throw that out........

March 7, 2005 Wife left for Istanbul to serve J-1 2 year HRR. Was a very bad day at Black Rock.

Oct 10 ,2006 Received fee bill from NVC

Nov 13 ,2006 Received Packet 2 DS-230

Jan 4, 2007 Mailed Packet 2 to NVC

Jan 22, 2007 RFE from NVC aaarrrrgggghhh!!!!!!!!

Feb 28, 2007 NVC received "checklist" response and original documents for the RFE

March 13, 2007 Case completed at NVC! Whoooohoooo!! Ankara, here we come!!!!

March 15, 2007 Case fowarded to Ankara Embassy

April 4, 2007 Interview. Wife gets handed the little green paper. Not good. Need to submit a few more things.

April 9, 2007 Items mailed back to Embassy. Crossing fingers, rubbing the "rabbit's foot", etc,..that this may FINALLY be the end.

April 14, 2007 Visa delivered! Wife is finally going to be on her way back home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

April 20, 2007 Wife enters through JFK. The days of grabbing my dinners at the WalMart deli....are now officially over!!!

Nothing like a last minute heart attack!!!!! Ok, I called North West. I begged the man on the phone to give me some information. After a long wait he told me that the flight has been delayed 2 1/2 hours!!!! He said that she did check in at the gate so she is there. I don't know why she hasn't called but at least I know that she made it through immigrations. THIS IS KILLING ME!!!!!!! It's like our whole journey for the last three years has been, one roadblock after another! Oh well, we made it this far and we will make this last hill. If nothing else I will get in my car and drive to Minneapolis to get her!!!!!!!!!
