I currently live with my family (My father and mother own the house and I am their child). I will be getting married to a F1 visa holder (bona fide marriage) and doing AoS. I want to know what proof of cohabitation can we prove (from a living standpoint) being that my father own the home and my spouse and I will be living in it after marriage? I want to know what proof would suffice to establish that we both will be living at my dad's house?

My husband and I are in the same situation.  My father bought me a home years ago but it is in his and my mothers name.  My parents wrote a letter explaining that they own the home and that we live in it.  They explained our relationship and parents, daughter and son in law.  We also attached a copy of the property tax showing their names as the owner. Hope this helps.

We were only asked for current resident utility bills etc..if you are living with your parents in the future.. A letter should suffice of future living arrangement notarized by your parents.. when you get your interview it can be explained in detail if needbe

Thank you! Did they ask any questions after you submitted the letter regarding the housing situation?

No they didn't question it.  We also sent in a copy of the homeowners insurance they have with my name listed as a revocable trust.  My situation may be a little different because we don't live with my parents.  We live in the house they own alone and they live in their home.  I don't see why it would be a problem for you though.  I think as long as they give you a letter you will be good.  Also, make sure they notarize the letter to prove that they actually wrote it.  We sent the property tax paper to prove that we live at the address they own.  The addresses are the same on our drivers license.

when applying for AOS, I think it's less of a problem than when applying for Removal of conditions (in 2 years). I moved in with my husband after our wedding, and was never on the lease in that apartment. We just didn't send anything related to our housing. During our interview, the officer did ask where we lived and how much rent we paid, but never asked to see our lease (we had moved in the meantime, and now have a lease with both of our names).

Focus on evidence you do have. This is what we sent - and I got approved no problem:

Evidence of a bona-fide marriage:
a.    Bank statements for Name Bank and Name Bank 2 showing joint account
b.    Credit Card statement showing joint Account
c.    Auto insurance with both petitioner and beneficiary listed
d.    Jewelry insurance with both petitioner and beneficiary listed
e.    Copy of Wedding Invitation
f.    Copy of Wedding Ceremony liturgy
g.    Selection of photographs exhibiting relationship
