We got an RFE, they want proof that my wife has a bona fide relationship with her son. And that I have a bona fide relationship with him. Not sure how to go about that.                                 ITEMS REQUESTED:
Other evidence (as well as one photocopy of each document presented) which will help establish that beneficiary's biological mother's relationship with beneficiary is bona fide, and as a result, that beneficiary's relationship with petitioner is bona fide. Examples of other evidence can be, but are not limited to: family photographs, wedding photographs, school records or School Board Certificate, vaccination records, correspondence, or any other personal documentation or official documentation establishing beneficiary's relationship to petitioner;
DNA testing may help to establish the validity of the claimed genetic parent-child relationship between beneficiary and beneficiary's biological mother. DNA testing is voluntary, and all costs of testing and related expenses must be borne by the petitioner and/or beneficiary and paid

Oh. Did they indicate a maximum days to provide all these requirements?  One step at a time.  Black and white documentations will surely satisfy them.  DNA testing is a bit costly.

They gave us 98 days, we don't have much other than what we already sent. Not really understanding why my wife needs to prove a bona fide relationship with her own son. Guess we'll send what we can and hope for the best.

That's how they works.

Suggestion, you may want to seek a signed letter from neighbors, and teachers of your wife's son as a living witnesses of bonafide maternal relationship.  A hospital record during birth.  Will be praying for a smooth processing.

Wonder if the letters should be notarized?

Yes.  It is smart to do it.

Suggestion, be very careful with all documentation and compliances with USCIS.  They work in a box, satisfying them is the goal. I was denied in my green card application the first time my husband petitioned me(fiancee).  We failed to provide signed affidavit of support (hard to tarry with people until now).  And the denial happened even after paying $1070, and sent them a very proud letter as signed by me.  And now, we redo the process again in a very expensive and humbling experience.

Let's do all our very best, and God will do the rest.

Thank you will triple check everything before sending it. Was the unsigned affidavit of support at the interview?

Just for clarification, our I-130 was already approved last March 03, 2017.

There was a signed 1-864 enclosed in the snail mail we sent to USCIS Chicago lockbox which was provided by my husband year 2013 during my adjustment of status for ( green card ) when we were still living in the USA BUT it was denied year 2014. We failed to provide another signed 1-864 for joint sponsor.

The fiancee visa(  NON-IMMIGRANT )interview with the consul during my time didn't require  me to have a joint sponsor.

Hope this helps.,

We didn't get an email about my wife's petition, wonder if they are waiting for us to send the extra docs for my stepson before they do hers?

You can positively inquire to them about it.  USCIS Manila are very generous in responding  to email inquiry....based on our experience.
