I don't really get why she did it either. The article I read about it just said she did a spoof video and it was on her website and Myspace page.

I think she is just letting her funny side show through- she used to be on the TV show as a kid- You can't do that on television. That was funny.

I think because she met a few bad men, wrote and sang some angry songs about it, people had the misconception she was dark and moody and bitter.

I think I heard mention somewhere that it may have been an April Fools joke on her part. Though, not knowing when the video was actually released, I'm not sure how accurate that would be.
