Your case will probably arrive at NVC in 2 weeks. They send the cases over in batches every two weeks. Ours was just sent to NVC this past Monday, so expect it to be sent in about a week and for it to arrive at NVC about a week after that.

Ok, you could have approval around June. Nebraska is pretty slow, unfortunately. No interview yet. I still have to get through NVC first.

what is NVC? I have filed I130 separately not with 485 as my asylum application is pending. I will be called into an interview and only after that I can apply for I485.

I read somewhere that once approved it takes 4-5 months for the interview at the embassy

I have a question.  My friend filed for her husband back in September.  It has passed six months.  On the USCIS website it states you cant submit a case inquiry before 6 months.  She is currently at 187 days.. which is 7 days over 6 months.  Why cant she submit the case inquiry on the tool?  I myself have been able to submit a case inquiry for mine.  Did any of you have an issue submitting a case inquiry?   Why is Nebraska so different?  It gave an error message saying that she is still within the service center processing times, but the only disclaimer that was made that you have to allow 6 months in order to submit it.

 

I thought my wait was bad but now I am kind of glad I didnt have Nebraska to deal with.  Of course I told her to just contact uscis in the morning.

Nebraska is agonizingly slow, and they keep getting slower. They were at 5 months average last year, now closer to 7. We waited 199 days before getting an approval there, which is just under 7 months. All you can do is wait; any less than 7 months and contacting USCIS will do no good. After hitting the 7 month mark you can contact them to see why it is taking so long, because thousands of other petitions are taking close to 7 months for approval.

Was checking the processing date on VJ and found that NSC is servicing I-130 dated Aug 29 now. However, the date on USCIS website is Aug 9. Can this be a mess up on USCIS's part?

Every month USCIS updates their processing times...

It was not updated last January 31... it was updated this month; and in their update they advise you where they reach as of January 31st 2017.  They dont show current processing.
