BioMetrics Documents not collected by airport immagration

When my then fiancé (k1) arrived here in Philadelphia she (from Dominican Republic) had a package of information that we thought, was supposed to be collected by the immigration agent. It included all of the bio-metrics information as well as her medical information. It was in a sealed package that we were told not to open so we are really not sure what it contained.

The immigration agent did not take the package so when we completed the form 485 and 765 documents, we included the package in the mailer to the USCIS office, registered and return receipt.

Two questions:

1. is this normal or did the immigration officer make a mistake by not taking the package of information?

2. She did her biometrics work while in the Dominican Republic we presume that all of that information was in the package that we mailed to the USICS office. Will she have to go through the process again for the biometrics, considering point 1 above was ok and that everything will be received in good order by the office?

It happens, you did the right thing to send it all in with your application. I don't know about the DR and the biometrics, since this is done here for most ppl. I wasn't aware that some ppl could do this overseas. I do know it happens that they don't take the package though and you shouldn't have a problem.

Truly appreciate the responses. Yes, I was getting stressed especially since we just mailed it out with the 485 form.  Thanks again.
