Hi All,

Quick summary:

  • -I'm a Canadian working in the US with a TN visa
  • -Married my wife in august of 2014
  • -Filed for AOS in September 2016
  • -Had my interview in Feb 2017
  • -They denied my i-485 based on the fact that i crossed the Canadian border on September 15th. My application was sent in the mail the prior week and i wasn't aware that i wasn't allowed to travel. i thought i had to get a receipt in the mail saying my process was started and then would refrain from travel. Turns out the receipt was September 13th. Officer was sympathetic at the interview, but said it was a black and white rule.
  • -My i-130 was accepted

I'm now re-submitting application for i-485, i'm doing this my self without a lawyer. I'm confused about what i should do with i-693, do i submit it again? i know there is a 1 year expiration, but do i just ask the medical examination to print a copy of the old one and submit the same thing? The medical examination place also informed me that they now have a urine test for Gonorrhea.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

if it's still valid, then you can submit it again. do you have a copy of it?

for my case, my lawyer advise me not to do it until i go for interview in case it'll expire before the actual interview then i have to do it all over again. since you did it already, submit it if its still valid.
