Hi all,

 

Is it legal to go sole proprietor or start your own business while on EAD? I want to start my own art and animation studio.

Yes, your EAD gives you all rights to work in the US. It is non-restricted.

Absolutely, go for it, and if you form an LLC (or other legal enity) with your spouse, this would be a really good document to include in your ROC to show strong financial ties.
