Most likely when I apply and get biometrics letter I will be out of country.

So if biometrics letter says it can be rescheduled what is the issue in doing it ? Besides getting delayed.

Today I called uscis and asked same. He said rescheduling can cause denial as well.

is this true ?

So far, I've had to reschedule biometrics for both AOS and ROC due to being out of town/out of the country for my original appointments for both (just bad luck with timing I guess).  It hasn't caused me any problems apart from about a 2-3 week delay on each.  I've never heard of needing to reschedule being grounds for denial - we have lives too and there are going to be times when we already have things planned for the same day they schedule appointments for us.

That will depend on your local office.  Pretty much, if you reschedule you go to the back of the line for appointments, so if your original appointment was a month from when they received your paperwork you'd need to allow for your rescheduled appointment to add an extra month to the total processing time.

Hi. Everyone.

I am going on vacation for almost a month. And I am pretty sure that my biometrics will be scheduled in that time. For sure I will need to reschedule it.

My neighbor will check our mailbox in our absence. And she agreed to submit my rescheduling application.

I want to prepare everything for her so that she just mail my package.

The office I submitted my i751 form was Vermont. I want to know where to send my package to request for reschedule of my biometric appointment? And what kind of envelope package should I use? Should I get a package stamped from post office so that my neighbor just mail the package easily without spending a penny.

Pl. Advice and share your experiences.

Thanks.

There is a tick box at the bottom of the appointment notice that also has instructions. We are going through this same thing now. Have you received your rescheduled appointment?  What was your original date and what is your new date?
