Really?  Show one case where marriage causes a J1 visa to go bye bye.

See post above it. Au Pair's need to stay unmarried or they will get kicked out of the J1 program. They can no longer work for the host family and their option is to either go home to their home country or adjust status.

See what?  You making a statement without anything to back it up?  SHOW US THE MONEY.  Provide a link.

I am going to see if I can find a copy of my old Au Pair Agreement where it says you can't enter into any contracts during you time as an Au Pair including marriage.

Your agreement is not with the US Government.  The US Government does not revoke a J1 because the visa holder got married.

Instead of relying on your agreement.  Go onto the world wide web (the internet) and find one case of a J1 visa going bye bye because someone got married.  Surely, there is at least one case out there to support your statement, right?

It's still per definition the end of your stay if you're an Au Pair. That's why I asked her what she was doing here as many Au Pairs forget that they are not allowed to get married and that they will no longer be able to stay with the family consequently screwing them over. IF she has been an Au Pair she wouldn't be the first time on here not knowing it or not caring about the host family. I don't get why you are being in such an attack mode when I am trying to help the OP. This discussion could have ended long time ago when the OP responded that she was NOT an Au Pair but you decided to make a big deal out of this.

Do you want to end this discussion and move on to actually helping the OP or do I still need to post the Au Pair agreement as you so adamantly want "evidence"?

I have read about the Au Pair's agreement, and we have different conditions being a J1 visa holder. We are not being hosted by a family, nor by the government. We paid for the program through a specific sponsor/agency, that's why I am here under the J1 visa.

I do appreciate all your help. No need to have a commotion out of this. It just gets too confusing for me as well. Thank you guys!

Exactly and that's why I wanted to know what you were doing here. Didn't expect to be attacked for wanting to help but this is visajourney in a nutshell sadly.

I am not attacking you.  Report me if you feel that I am attacking you.  I am asking for you to back up your statement.  There is no need to scare people needlessly.

Thank you Aaron!

So going back to the topic now :) What is the best way to do? So after getting married, File an I-130 then go back home to my country when my program and my visa expires. Then wait for my Green Card. Is that right?

Is there any other way to speed the process' wait time? Not until my fiance become a USC right?

When does your fiance plan on becoming a US citizen?  How long has he been an LPR?

Your fiance becoming a USC would allow you to speed up the process.  It may also allow you to stay.

Please answer the questions above.  Without knowing the answers, there is no other way to offer you help.

I didn't. I asked her a simple question and you blew it out of proportions.

I blew it out of proportion?  You are the one telling J1 visa holders that marriage can cause their visas to go bye bye.  You fail to provide a single case to back up your statement and continue to insist that you were right.  You could have ended this early on by providing proof, but you didn't.

Because it's not relevant as the OP is not an Au Pair.

How convenient.  Don't make the statement that J1 visa holders can lose their visas because of marriage.  That wasn't relevant.   Are you going to respond and drag this out?  You took no part in this getting dragged out right?  It was all my fault?  It doesn't take two to tango?

At least I gave the OP real advice.  You only said visa bye bye.

I don't know if it is relevant by now but I know people who changed status on j1 visa BEFORE getting married. I was on J1 visa at some point  too and went back home but was surprised to learn that my former fellow student got rolled up for a college and stayed. Then she got married to a GC holder and waited until he became a US citizen. I am not sure what legal grounds underneath it. But she got her green card and everything eventually . So I guess if it was illegal then she would have been deported.
