Hi I'm newbie here, and I hope somebody can help me. Does anyone here already petitioned their 8year old child... How long was the process of her visa? I am GC holder and my husband is U.S citizen.

Thank you very much!

Agreed. The USC can petition for her as an IR-2/CR-2. It will take 10-12 months or so on average.

Thank you for your responds.  So, we go with the CR1 and not I-824?

It's the I-130 still.

I think a follow to join,I-824, request for action on an approved petition may be quicker than I-130. Anyway, that's what we have done. Filed in December and paperwork already sent to Texas service center. Now the wait ! Texas is very slow, but you are in California, yours should move more quickly. Good Luck !!

PS, You and not your husband would file on your approved I-129f petition. Hope this helps !

All children should be named on the 129F whether they are follow to join or staying in their country.
