hello rea! i'm not a feb filer but i have a ??? i think you can answer. does the embassy set up your medical exam for you or do you do it yourself? oh by the way i'm mike i live in oklahoma & i'm filing in 2 week. i want to know so i can tell my fiance. thanks

hi mike, the US Embassy here in Manila will schedule our interview and medical, but according to some of the members, we can go ahead to St. Lukes even before the medical schedule but the interview set up should be followed..

Did you receive any notice from the USE yet?

hi novelyn & gragg, i haven't received any notice from USE yet and i also tried the website but it is still not accessible, according to some of the vj members from PH the site of USE is sometimes down when they do updating of the interview & medical schedules...let's just all pray we all have our schedules or notice from USE within the week or sooner...

I still don't have a hard copy of the NOA2, even though I have my notice letter from the NVC saying they received the packet...

I wonder if I should use the RFE trick to get a live person on the phone and ask them nicely to send it out and to update our status on their website???

Good luck on that.. I talked to them three times and wasted my time. We were approved 5-2 (according to NVC) but USCIS said we were still pending. I got my Senator involved last week, and got the NOA2 today. I advise you to do the same.

What did you say to your senator to get them to intervene on your behalf?

But seriously, other than the satisfaction of having the hard copy in hand, do we really need the NOA2 for anything?

I already have the receipt notice from NVC that they received it and a verbal notice that they sent it on to the USE in Manila. I plan on contacting the Embassy on Tuesday, Philippines time to see if it has arrived yet.

I said "duuuuuuuuuuuuude".......... Seriously, go to his/her website and find the "Right to Privacy Act Release Form". Fill one out telling your story, list significant dates and fax 'em in. 36 hrs after I did that, I got my approval email and 2 days after that - the paper.

It is a good thing to have for the interview and a necessity for AOS.

Hi All,

I am new on VJ. Actually I just registered today but have been lurking the site for months now.... I guess I belong to the February Filers having NOA1 on Feb. 1.

My fiance received NVC letter dated May 17 stating that NVC received our approved I-129F with our case number MNL200763xxxx, with a statement that within a week or so our papers be sent to USE in Manila. Called NVC to ask if our papers been sent to USEM already, been told it was sent May 16.

Now, we are waiting and waiting for any news if our papers did or did not arrived in USEM. Called USEM last week, spent the entire day getting nothing but "the person you are calling is engaged right now, call again later".....hehehe...it is long distance (I am from Cebu).

Fiance will try calling them tomorrow....hopefully he will get some good news.

Right now, I am going nuts from waiting...........

Hope to see each other when in Manila....Cebu is a long way.

Update:

Fiance called USEM from US and yes, our papers arrived in USEM May 18. The woman said that I am not yet scheduled for an interview or medical. However, when asked if she had any idea when would I be scheduled, she said probably sometime in August or September.... Whaaa...seems like forever! Packet will be sent a month before the scheduled interview.

Yeah, it seems like forever!!! I have plans of calling USE but after reading your post, I changed my mind, We were approved May 3rd so there's no way we would have a medical schedule earlier than you'd have. I'll probably just wait and wait and wait. I'll also try to check it online on the 15th hoping we would have our sked by that time, guys!

to gragg, if you don't mind please ask your fiance to go to internet cafe at least once a week and at least 1 hour, it is only around Php20 to Php25 or $0.50, and tell her to be in visajourney so she will know that she's not alone...we are as anxious as she is

I have the "do not intend" box checked, the service I used for the forms selected that for me. I am not sure exactly what that box means unless it refers to support prior to the issuance of the visa and our marriage.

Just called the State Department (1-202-663-1225 option 1,0) and was informed that the packet 4 was sent out today, medical is scheduled for August 6th and the interview is scheduled for August 13!!! :dance: :dance:
