Salam alaikom and hello I am Mohammed from Morocco and I am 28 my fiancé is from Hawaii she is 43 we been toghter since 2010 and we got all the proves . She visited me 9 times in this 7 years . She was divorced 2013 . With two kids she is in reserve  army and also mail handler in us postoffice . She make 37.000$ a year I am worried about the age parte she is is 15 years older but she look way younger then her age . What is the best advice for me knowing that I am goin to be interview in 3 days in Casablanca one of the hardest us emmbacyS. Thanks

The age difference piece may play a role since I *think* (correct me if I'm wrong), that's unusual in Moroccan culture. The female being the older one is also a bit of a flag. That said,9 visits over 7 years is probably enough face time (assuming week+ visits each) for it to not be too much that large of an issue.

Do you have any other flags?

Good luck!

Edit: The ongoing divorce while you were together may also play a factor...just so you're not surprised if/when it comes up in the interview.

No judgement here. I'm just telling you that they may bring up the divorce at the interview, so you should be prepared to answer questions about it. Like I said, you have plenty of face time so that factors very positively into your case.

It took us 3 applications to be approved as i am much older than my moroccan husband / be prepared to answer the question about "you" wanting your own children as this is important in muslim culture/ if you say she has 2 and that will suffice, then you will probably be ok

it is important your family approves so also be prepared to answer about this

i am much older than Adil/ he is here and we were approved/ we are married 7 years now and doing finee

also be prepared to tell what work you will do in the US or if you will study

just be confident when you go into this interview / know her life and family well and don't be afraid to show you love this woman

don't say age is only a number

better to say this is the woman who took your heart

incha allah

all will be good

I'm 14 years older than my husband, however, I agree with adil-rafa.  She has the best advice.  Your culture will come into play and be a big part of your interview.  I agree to make it known by your speech, body language etc on how much you love her.  When people are truly in love, it shows.  Best wishes to you and your love!

Age difference in your culture as stated could be a red flag, same with her already having kids.. but the amount of visits she has made is very helpful in proving of bona fide relationship. The age difference can be over come don't worry. Just make sure to have everything in order when it comes time for the interview.

I think there was a similar thread a week ago with a very similar scenario.

I would expect you age difference to be the norm for this Consulate.
