Hello everyone!

I have seen a lot of posts regarding NOA2 extensions that some consulates require a request for extension and others do it automatically. Does anyone know if the Madrid Consulate automatically extends or requires an extension request?

Thanks!

Very late update but in case anyone else has the same question, we were granted a case extension! We emailed ivmadrid@state.gov and got this response:

 IV Unit Madrid.

For those who don't read Spanish, we were asked to include a letter signed by the US petitioner reaffirming their intention to marry the Spanish citizen upon their arrival to the US. We were told that if we already had sent the documents in the mail to have my fiance (now husband!) bring the signed letter to the interview.
