My wife and I are from Brazil, she is thinking about study in the US for Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA, associate degree). We know the Physical Therapy (PT) is in the "Schedule A" list https://www.uscis.gov/working-united-states/temporary-workers/health-care-worker-certification , which Labor Certification is not a required. So, our doubt, is it possible to apply for EB-3 visa as PTA if she receives a job offer? We also know that with PTA ( is not a bachelor degree) so it does not qualify for a H1B

no, it wont qualify for an H1B! and they make about 10-12/hour!!! its not worth it! either be a physical therapist or something else! anyone can be a PTA u dont need an associate degree.  its really worthless imo. (i took kinesiology so lots of people i know worked as PTA's and made no money and all eventually quit and found new jobs). you are better off to be an LPN.

Not an obvious situation for an employer to go through the expense and time of sponsorship, does she have a prospective Employer in mind?

I think you will find it VERY hard to find someone to petition you for such a job.

Not an obvious area for someone to need to look outside the US.

I do not know many people in that area, once couple I knew both were qualified and were complaining that the pay rate vs the student loans would keep them in financial difficulty for a very long time.

I was under the impression that many people in those areas were self employed?

And if she decided to pursue a bachelor in PT?

if she is a Physical Therpist yes - that is a very very good job/qualification! but she would need to pass the US equivalent exams.
