Wake up people! I dont' think I've ever had to start a daily thread. :blink: Do all of you have today off?

Workin' from home since the kidlets have a half day today. Oldest daughter wants an ipod boombox thingie for her b-day so I have to sneak out between now and noontime to get the PINK one that she wants at Target. she has a wicked obsession with anything pink. :wacko:

sorry to be late. Was sleeping in until the leaf blowers started. I hate the sound of leaf blowers more than anything else in the world! :blink:

Not doing anything much today. My son's Spring/Easter Break begins tomorrow and Atif has a 3 day weekend....so I get to sleep in at least 1 day :dance:

Happy Thursday

I have the day off and all to myself, life is grand.

My son goes to the doctor today to get stitches out of his nose. He's weak and in pain. My friend, Sharon, has both legs cut open, they can't put the wounds together cuz of the flesh eating stuff (that happened after a botched surgery) and is now going to be transfered to a Chicago hospital today. My sister is still suffering from kidney failure after a botched surgery in Wisconsin. :blink:

If you have your health and happiness in your life, feel blessed and enjoy every day.

I'm so sorry Jackie. :( Seems like everyone around me is dying lately. My aunt is on her last legs with cancer everywhere, my uncle just died this weekend and we buried him yesterday and my youngest daughter's best friend's mom died over the weekend from breast cancer. I'm ready for sunshine and happiness 'cause I can't take all of this gloom and doom!!!

On a brighter note.....both my I130 and my I129F got touched today. :dance::dance::dance: Looking at the Immigration Timelines for those going through Vermont on here it looks like I'm up next to get approved (just going by VJ though) so here's hoping. :)

Wow Doodle..you really got hit hard with that stuff. I hope it's over for awhile! :luv:

Jackie: You have had a rough time lately too. I hope those around you who are ill recover soon. That flesh eating stuff is scary. We had a young boy near Seattle who got it after falling onto the base of a basketball ball hoop stand, hitting his face on the metal. Thankfully he recovered, but it was a long fight.

MBP: Gotta love those maintenance people. I hate the thought of moving into an apartment when our lease is up. quiet country house living is the way to go :thumbs: Too bad they seem to be replacing the quiet country with loud housing developments. :blink:

C2: enjoy your long weekend. I too get a 3 day weekend, although Friday is shaping up to be full of errands. :help:

Off to the post office at lunch to finnnnnnalllly get AOS in the mail. I was all ready yesterday except I had forgotten to copy the whole package. So spent the morning doing that and double checking that everything was in the envelope.

Hello all... haven't posted here in awhile - Jackie, so sorry for all you're going thru and my condolences to you too, Doodle. Hope everyone who has long weekends enjoys them - I'm working a lot lately (hamdoulillah).

Just a note to say that our AOS was transferred to CSC and things seem to be moving along, might be at a snail's pace, but moving along nonetheless!

I do have to admit that I take my health for granted.....especially when I see or hear of others who are suffering from serious illnesses. Being in good health is such a blessing......I need to remember that whenever I get down about how long this VJ is taking & is going to take.

I booked a ticket to Egypt today. My last day teaching is June 22nd.....I'll be leaving for Egypt on June 23rd.....in sha Allah.

How do I know if my spam thingie is deleting emails from CRIS?

I just looked in my inbox and my old emails from CRIS have gone *poof*.

Not only that, two people from VSC who sent in petitions around the same time as me got their approvals today in the email and I got touched but no email.
