This occurred in Switzerland.  My fiance went for her medical exam 2/6/17 and requested a copy from the doctor to use for the i-485 change of status after we are married.  The doctor didn't know anything about making a copy and said they could not make a copy.  We will be apply for change of status and want to reuse the medical exam.   Is the exam on file with the some entity of the US government so it can be reused?  Should we go back to the doctor and provide further instructions?  Just don't want to pay 2x for the medical exam.   Thank you for any help.

with the i-485 application, if the medical exam is within a year when you apply for AOS then you don't need to have medical exam. you just need to supply a photocopy of the vaccination record coz that's the only paper document from the medical exam you get from your home country. but if it's more than 1 year already, and it looks like it is more than 1 year since the last medical, then you have to have the medical exam again and use for i-693 and find a civil surgeon in your area who is designated by uscis to conduct the medical exam.
