I knew nothing about visas or the process when I first joined VJ but by following the guides we blew right through the visa petition and AOS. Next stop, lifting conditions and you can damn better believe I will be studying the guides for that :D

almost did though, when sanita got a 221g wih recommendations to send back to the usa and deny ...i was able to work out the issues with the consulate director via phone

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I am using a lawyer. The main reason I used an attorney is not that I couldn't do the paperwork or my fiancee' wouldn't understand how to do it. The reason I hired an attorney is after the NOA2 he will become a big help with my fiancee'. My fiancee' travels all over Thailand with her job and is very busy. At least the attorney will take care of the paperwork for her and all she will have to do is sign it. In fact he has already filled out most of the forms. Also representives from his office will take her to her medical, police station for her police report and will be with her during her interview. Anywhere she needs to go they will be with her. This is very important to me to know she will have someone by her side during the whole process. I wish I could be with her, but that just can't happen. Yes, my petition was not a complicated one, but hiring an attorney did save us time and has given us piece of mind. At least at this time. :):)

We didn't use a lawyer.

If you read the guides here and follow the directions, you should be fine.

Let's change the question now. Has anyone completed the process with a lawyer and in retrospect see it as a waste of money??

Im just curious as to how many of you used a lawyer. I didnt and now im wondering if I should have. I sent off the paperwork in Feb. and recieved the letter stating they received our petition. Now, we are just waiting for the next step. Im just worried that they could send it back if we didnt do it right. Also, what is NOA1 or NOA2. Ive seen that posted a few times and was curious. As you can see, im new here.

Thanks

no we too never used a lawyer but once my husband had taken advice from lawyer for my travel coz my petition is hanging at nvc stage ,

otherwise didnt feel the use of lawyer,
