Manila Embassy Interview/Visa Status

Hello....

I have not been able to check on VJ lately. Got too busy with all the despedidas (farewell parties) left and right, 2-3 a day (lunch, merienda, dinner)! I'm pigging out! I think I gained 5 pounds the past week! Have to do last minute shopping for my US relatives' "bilins" still.

My next post will be made when I get to the US. I leave Manila on June 12.

Is is acceptable to use married name when filling out embassy or medical documents? I am in the process of answering forms available online or in softcopy (using photshop elements) to lessen the waiting time during interview (hopefully). Please advise.

To avoid confusion or delay, your surname should match your I-129F, passport and Ids.

Myself, I'm flying out of San Francisco on the 24th to attend Fely's interview on the 28th. My return flight is on July 16th, and hopefully she will be with me at that time. Of course, we're both hustling to get last minute paperwork ready.

Thanks Ate Luz. Its hard to believe after 3 years, it'll all be ending soon and we can get on with our lives. I guess you and Gary are familiar with that feeling. I'll try to get her to do some posting here on VJ, but don't count on it. At the very least, of course I'll have some pictures.

Hi,

I just joined VJ yesterday but have been visiting the site since last month. Everyone is really a big help. Thank you all.

Anyway, USEM received our papers May 18. Fiance called USEM today and have been told that probably my interview would probably be on August or September.

Question: Is it possible to apply for an early appointment? Do we need to quality for that such as valid reasons why we want early appointment? We hope to be interviewed early in July.

My fiance just found out yesterday that there is something wrong with his prostate according to his doctor. He / We kind of hope that I would be there with him for the biopsy and to the entire process of his examination.

But if we do apply for early appointment be rejected, it might delay us even more and we don't want that. It's either apply for early appointment or just wait for them forever until they scheduled us. :huh2:

What do you think? any input is welcome......

USE updates the appointments (most of the time) every 15th day of the month. Try checking again in a couple more days...
