First, Congrats to Chad and Lira! Glad to hear of your success!

Second, I just got home from the Phils. Had a great time with Mirasol as always and really hated to go. Somehow this time it was not as hard because I know she will be coming home soon. In fact, when I text her to tell her I landed safely in San Francisco tonight, she text me back that she got a text from Delbros that her visa will be delivered this week! WOOHOOO!!!!!

I was so excited!!! I checked the Delbros site when I got home and got this:

I guess I am just a big baby cuz I nearly cried when I read this reply from Delbros. I can't believe its really true. No "AR Jail", no more waiting, no more interviews on pins and needles.....simply put, my baby is coming home now!!!!! It's our dream come true.

It's been a long almost four years that we have been waiting for this day. We had a longer journey than most cuz of Mir's annulment. It seemed that every time we thought the annulment would be granted, there were more delays. Then waiting through the USCIS petition and Embassy visa application/interview process seemed quick, but still took forever. We're so very glad this part of our life is over and we can get down to spending the rest of it together No exact date for travel yet, but it will be very soon. Going to start looking for a plane ticket now.

Thank you again to all those that helped us along the way. Take care and God bless to all who continue the journey and to those that have started the next chapter in living together in the US.

gracy_byron, don't forget to tell Coco Puff that they should allow your fiance to invite them to order the vonage box thru refer a freind. Your fiance will get 2 months voinage service free.....

Ailene and I use the vonage too. It's so good. The connection is excellent...and its unlimited!!

I bought Mir a Vonage setup so she can use it till she comes here and also for her family to talk with her after she arrives here. Is there anything we should know? I guess it just seems a little on the edge as far as legal usage. I know they allow the subscriber to travel with it, but I'm not there. Do they ever follow-up and check if the subscriber will answer? Do they wonder why the vonage phone is being called by the same number that the subscriber gave as a back-up number? Do they really even care as long as they get their $25 a month?

Gracy, I am worried about items 2 and 3 in your list. Since you are K1, why do you have a marriage license and a legal capacity to marry? The embassy might suspect that you and your fiance have gotten married in the Philippines already. That could result in AR or worst, they might deny K1 visa and advise you to file CR-1. The fact that you also have a receipt for a wedding band tends to support any suspicion the embassy might have that the two of you are married already. While the 3 documents mentioned above are good proof of on-going relationship for CR-1, they are certainly damaging to any K1 visa application.

I'm sure you read about the K1 lady who wore her promise ring during her medical at St. Lukes (I think it was Luz who told the story) and she got into trouble right away. I can't remember what exactly happened to her but Luz might be able to re-tell the story. The lesson learned is that we should not do anything that will make the embassy suspicious that we have married our fiances if we are K1.

Please do not show the marriage license, legal capacity to marry and the wedding band receipt during your interview.

Hi Scott! I have a vonage in our house too, nobody called for follow up or anything like that. And the $25 monthly fee is automatically charged on Byron's credit card. I even call their customer service whenever I have questions about the vonage and their services.

Hi PW, after Byron got his dissolution paper we really intend kase to get married here, so we have all those paper work but we didnt use it because we changed our plans and figured that K1 is faster than K3. Thanks for the advice I'll be taking those out on my folder now cuz it might just put me on AR. Thanks again
