All I can think is that love is a two way street. She obviously never loved me.

Im a very sorry to hear that Glen..I could not possibly find a reason why she did that to you(though we never hear her side) but just being fair and just..I think she deserves to send back to Philippines. If she is what is telling she is sad, lonely and homesick i dont think she will be happier in anywhere she maybe but home.Goodluck and just be strong Glen. I for one as woman who is inlove and always be with my husband.. " HE IS MY HAPPINESS AND HE IS MY HOME"

To Sillygirl -> Condolence to you and your family.

To Glen -> You wrote: All I can think is that love is a two way street. She obviously never loved me.

-> This is just so sad, after all the time spent, the waiting, just doesn't feel right to be in this situation. I hope she will still find a way to contact you, maybe even write you an email/letter to explain her side so you can understand her and maybe ease the pain you're feeling. If she haven't receive her GC yet, or haven't filed for AOS, since the address used is your home address, then all correspondence will be sent to you. And If I'm not mistaken she will still need you for her AOS, so she may contact you about this. I hope your Attorney can help you. If she is really that homesick and would like to go home and be with her family, then maybe you can make a compromise. I don't and would not like to think that she just used you to get a VISA and be able to go to the US. I hope and pray you could still work it out (your marriage). Whatever the outcome will be, after you know all the facts and truth, be strong and don't lose hope and have faith. (When God closes one door, He opens a window..... I know there is something better for you).

All I can think is that love is a two way street. She obviously never loved me.

I am sorry to hear that things have not worked out between the two of you.

I know you are feeling very sad and depressed, but try not to say or think things that you will soon regret. From reading your past threads of your journey, it seems to me that Rosemarie has had a very, very difficult time adjusting. I obviously don't know all of the events that have transpired over your times together, but from what you have posted since her arrival here, it seems that the problem is more of culture shock, rather than her using you or not loving you.

As Ken&Maria suggested, if you have not heard from her yet, by all means, you should file a missing persons report. There could be a problem or circumstance that you have not considered. Your first order of business is to someway have some contact with her, ANY contact with her, to make sure that she is alive and well.

She won't get very far on a bike, and since she left all of her possessions, I think this has to be more than something she planned all along.

At the CFO Seminar, they make a point to tell the Filipina National what steps to take if she finds herself in an untenable situation once she arrives in her fiance's/spouse's homeland. Unfortunately, some relationships aren't genuine, and they want to make sure the Filipina is not left without any options. I mention this because you sound as though you think this may have been planned from the beginning, and that may not be the case at all.

I think once you are able to talk to her, you guys can come up with a way to resolve your relationship. My prayers are with you.

Hello Sheriff,

Thankyou for the informative posting. One quick question..Does the NVC send you a letter with your DOS/embassy case number once they get the NOA2 approval from USCIS? I have recieved an email notification from the USCIS website of NOA2 approval as well as my online account there was updated to reflect this. I understand it now shifts to Dept of State (NVC, embassy) just wondering how or when might I get the case number so I can check interview/medical appointment status.

Thankyou

Carl

Once USCIS has approved your case, it will be forwarded to NVC immediately. It is best to contact NVC two weeks after your approval date to get the MNL case number. You can also email them since getting a hold of a live person at NVC is kind of frustrating and difficult especially during busy hours. If calling them and emailing them didn't work for you, I guess you can just wait for their mail (snail mail) notification. Normally, you'll receive a letter from NVC informing you that your petition has been forwarded here in Manila consulate.

Good luck!

And again, someone correct me if I'm wrong :luv:

Mae

Trakon2002...

Q - Does the NVC send you a letter with your DOS/embassy case number once they get the NOA2 approval from USCIS (just wondering how or when might I get the case number so I can check interview/medical appointment status)?

A - Yes, the NVC does send the petitioner a letter indicating that your case has been forwarded to the USE, which states your case number. Like many things about this process, the petitioner may or may not receive a written notification. You may call the NVC (the number is listed within my signature) or email at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. If you email the NVC, please be sure to include your name, USCIS Receipt number, the beneficiary's name, and the beneficiary's DOB. Be patient because it usually takes the NVC around three to seven business days to respond, but they will get back to you. As far as checking for your interview/medical appointment status, you will also need to be patient in that regards as well. It is estimated that your interview/medical appointment will not be scheduled for approximately 90 - 120 days, and the Manila Embassy does not schedule appointments further than 60 days in advance. So do NOT expect your appointments to be available right away. I recommend that you start checking the Visa Interview Appointments website for your appointment every week 45 days after the receipt of the hardcopy [package] by the Manila Embassy from the NVC.

Cheers!!!

Sheriff Uling

p.s. - Unfortunately, the Manila Embassy is the second busiest in the world, which requires a lot more patience than most US Citizens are accustomed too.

I haven't filed a missing persons report as of yet. She contacted her cousin in the Philippines and told her to contact me. I have to assume that she is okay and is not interested in any contact with me.

Dean, we are happy to know that Gra has enough time to make it to her interview inspite of the additional test.

Maybe for our future members, especially the beneficiary, it is best to be upfront with your petitioner about any past medical issues. If there is history of TB, go to a doctor right away and have an x-ray taken. In case it turns out positive, you can undergo treatment for 6 months while waiting for the petition to go through its normal process. By the time you are scheduled for your St. Lukes medical, (and it is suggested to take take this a month earlier than actual schedule), any medical issues you may have had would have been resolved by then.

Hmm i would quote but i am forum challenged. Well I visted my sweety April 2006, so it has been a year since I seen her. I did not know that 2 or visits where needed to satisfy the requirements till now. Also I was trying to get the TSA job and now I have it, so I will make the income requirements for sure. One problem of having a big filipino community here, alot of them don't know K1 visa's here. Everybody comes as here as family visas. So the new problem is i might not be able to visit her, before her interview. I filed the packett already. I just will pray I have not evidence for the first part. Well nothing I can do now but pray and wait.

Psoas, one visit is enough to get your petition approved at USCIS. Others have been approved at embassy level with only one visit, however, it would make it easier for your fiancée to convince a ConOff about the bona fides of your relationship if you visit her more than once. Two or more visits are desirable but not a requirement.

I replied with updated info regarding our case but I don't see it in the running list. It's in the old thread but everything is in my sig.

Your K3 timeline is updated. Do you have any new development on CR? I may have missed reading your update. Please let me know if I missed anything.

I have a question about Alien # on the I-864. Lorna has never had an alien # and I just wanted to make sure she still does not have one. We got all the way to the inteview with her CR-1 before being put on AR so I'm asking you folks if she has been given an alien # somewhere along the process. Since she is not an alien yet, I assume she doesn't have this # yet until she actually becomes an alien.

Lorna's assigned Alien Number is in the NOA1 and NOA2. It is written on top of the beneficiary's name (Lorna's name). It looks something like this A123 456 789

I do have some questions... I know I need to book the ticket in my maiden name as that's what's in my passport. But on the return trip, will I have a problem checking in (for the flight from the Philippines and clearing immigration here) with my passport and my greencard having different names?

From other posts I've read (not Manila), you need to bring a copy of your marriage contract so you can show them in case of questions.

Updating list to welcome AnneiyandJacky!

Updating to welcome trakon2002 to the list.

Today is a non-working holiday in the Philippines (Fall of Bataan) so don't call the embassy. Lucky embassy workers! They get to enjoy the holidays of 2 countries.

I haven't filed a missing persons report as of yet. She contacted her cousin in the Philippines and told her to contact me. I have to assume that she is okay and is not interested in any contact with me.

Glenn, this is just so sad. I know that this is a difficult time for you and I hope and pray that you find the strength and courage to face whatever it is that lies ahead. I hope that you will continue to let us know here how you are doing. Has your lawyer made any contact with you yet?

Hang in there! We're just a computer away if you need someone to talk to.

Hello to all, i know this question is already asked but i just can't find the right thread and am a lil lazy looking for it  ... anyway, my question is: Is it ok if I only have a computer printed copy of my husband's Form 1040(ITR)? Actually it is his copy of his ITR when he filed the tax online. Just want to make sure i have the right documents. Hoping for your response... Thanks a lot!

For my interview on Friday, I will be using a computer print-out (TurboTax) of my fiance's Form 1040 and a PDF copy of his W2. His 1040 has a Declaration Control Number and date of acceptance by TurboTax. I will let you know if embassy will accept that.

Is it ok to submit photocopies of my fiancee's ITRs? He doesn't have the transcripts... and he's not comfortable in sending the original ITR forms he filed for the last 3 years...

Ahh yes one more holiday here in the Phils today for the embassy. Nice 5 day weekend for them. Finally they are back to work tomorrow. They seem to have given themselves a light workload last Wednesday the day of our interview. Seemed to be only about 10 people in the 7:30 AM time slot. We were done and out of the embassy at 9:30 AM. So we are hoping here with the light workload from last week they will get to issuing our visa soon. :) Finally the light at the end of the tunnel is getting lighter.

1. I've read from somewhere that downloadable ITR is not admissible when the beneficiary have his/her interview with the local consul coz "somewhere" said that the USE officer will ask for signed ITR from the IRS. Is that true?

2. Plus, "somewhere" also says that the petitioners' bank statement account must be signed too by a bank officer? How true? My fiance is station to different places each year coz he is an army. And he is in CO right now. He opened his bank accounts way back many years ago in Hawaii and Miami and its not possible for him to fly anytime soon to HI or MI to have that bank statement accounts! Can he just have his relatives do that for him? Any suggestions?

1) Most ITRs are filed on-line nowadays and do not require signatures (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Therefore, my take on this is that if fax copy is acceptable to the embassy as written in the packet and their website, then (I hope I am assuming correctly that) an ITR filed on-line and therefore downloaded from an IRS website is more reliable. I am putting this to the test during my interview on Friday. I will be using a downloaded 1040 and PDF copy of W2. The worst that can happen to me is to be put in AR but I have waited so long that waiting another month is not a big deal to me anymore <sour-graping> hehe

2) A bank statement needs to be signed by a bank officer. He can request the bank for certification by phone-call, e-mail or snail mail. He will probably be charged $30!!!! so the bank will need his authorization for this. He should not forget to tell the bank where to mail the certification as it might be mailed to his last known address listed with the bank.

They accepted photocopy of mine. I did put an original signature on it. Not sure if the signature was really necessary.
