cenomar doesn't need to be authenticated at the Malacañan palace, right?

and is it alright that a k1 visa holder will bring dried fish (danggit) to the US?

No problem bringing dried fish into the US. I've brought some back with me on each of my 3 trips (for my sister-in-law in Montana). The customs guys never even give it a second glance. As for the cenomar authentication, it is not necessary, but some people like to get it anyway.

All this talk about Baguio makes me want to go back there again. If anyone is interested in a delicious American meal, I recommend Sizzlin' Plate, I think its on Session Road. It was there I had the best Porterhouse Steak ever, and it only cost $4 (200P). Maybe on my next upcoming trip I'll convince Fely that we have to go visit our niece that works in Bagiuo one last time before she leave the PI.

Thank you very very very much Helen! This is so encouraging and educational.

I hope the doctor wont be that thorough on his/her test. yes, i will get medical certificates and bring records. however, both you and PW mentioned that i must not offer them unless asked to. Thought there was a form that i had to fill-out to disclose the illnesses i had...if i dont disclose and they find out and i showed them the medical certificates and records, won't it be a problem? wont i be in trouble for misrepresentation? it is clear that if i brought med certificates and records, i am knowledgable of my illnesses which i should have disclosed in the form...

my interview will be on the 22nd of may and i scheduled my medical this 10th. do i have enough time? i really pray that they wont notice it so no further exam will be made.

again, ur advice is very much appreciated and thanked for.

Jeng, you may disclose about your Thyroid problem since you were treated and work-ups were done, and present the Medical Certificate from your private Doctor. About the cervical/peri-auricular lymph node, if they notice it, then deny it. Tell them you have not noticed and not feeling anything wrong with it. I don't think they will notice though. The panel phycisian on my case did not ask me to fill-out forms regarding my illnesses, she ask some diseases and I just said "NO"... (she wouldn't know anyway and I'm sure I don't have any communicable illness). If you can have your medical next week, it will be much better, so you have more time to relax before your interview and not think so much about your medical (just an advice).

Hi Ate Cora! Please update us :innocent: We got our visa too :dance::dance: Delivered by Delbros 05/04 in Bacolod City. I have to start packing now  Thanks to all of you who have helped us through...the good advises and encouragement and prayers! See you all at the AOS forum

Coco Puff

Hello! Ate PW, pls update our timeline. Visa was delivered May 4, 2007 at Cebu City. Now, I am packing my things for my May 10 trip to be with my beloved Bryan.

Thanks everybody for all the help. Godbless!

Thanks so much Helen and PW.

By the way, I had my annual med exam too last Saturday. I had my xray too. Is it possible that if the result is okay, ill tell the SLMEC that I recently had my xray and they wont do it again this thursday? will they rely on it or they will definitely have an independent xray?

Godbless you always!

Hi Jeng all i can say is good luck to you on your medical. Helen and Ate Cora had given u good advices on what u can do.

If u had an xray recently, inform them and bring your result with your negative. From that they would evaluate if u gonna have an xray or not. Anyways they ask if u have previous xrays and if so, they ask when was that and if u have the results with u so show it to them. Im sure u'll doing good in your med exams...hope to meet u at the USE on the 22nd, we have same sked :) .

Thank you Maria. When are you going to have your medical? Are you done with it already?

Anyways, let us try to meet on the 22nd. It will make a difference to have someone with you over there to get through that nerve-wracking experience of waiting...are you gonna be with your fiance?

see you and Godbless us.

Im done with my medical last apr 19 and 20 with some of Vjers. Im really hoping to meet u on our interview, i'll go alone, my fiance will not be with me coz of his hectic work skeds, he really wanted to come though but i understand his situation. How abt you? will he be with u?!

Here's what u need for your medical exam:

1) passport

2) 3 pcs colored (2x2) photos with white background.

3) $95 or its peso equivalent

4) black ballpen

5) appointment letter (original and photocopy)

NOTE: Memorize your case number, passport number, fiance's address and tel# coz always ask on the forms. I suggest to do it in the morning if u can

gracy_byron good luck to your upcoming interview, also chad&lira and to everybody else who are anxious to get new progress on their cases.. good luck, i know the feeling, with excitements and disappointments. its worth it all.

by the way i forgot to include, my visa was delivered in Ermita Manila, after so much headaches dealing with delbros people, and keep tracking of visa status finally they delivered it to the hotel where we were staying on Labor Day.

thanks ate cora, sheriff uling and others who wished us luck.

Nope, he wont be with me... :-(

Btw, are the doctors there already old or still young?

hello....just wanna share my life here.....i miss dried fish...specially (danggit)..wow!!...(imaskin) bring some.. (for me  )....

jasmin

hi;

speaking of new life, new sorroundings, and everything

may i join this 'tuyo' (dried fish) talk, also sinigang na baboy, paksiw na bangus, balut, i eat balut yes why not, fish's eyes, etc.. spicy chicken's neck and adidas, grilled isaw (chicken or pork intestines), hmm what else? just one of exotic foods that our partner cant stand.. i guess im just making myself hungry, i really miss Filipino foods but im getting used to the way of life here and good thing im always open minded on anything, i miss eating 'sangkaterba na sobra sobra' (too much), as in anytime anywhere anything, So far I haven't seen any Filipinas around nor Filipino stores, I guess not too many Filipinos in this NY area where we live. But all in all everything is perfect and very happy. i wish i could just look for a job without having to wait for EAD, really excited to do job hunting but oh, well we have to follow the rules.

gracy_byron good luck to your upcoming interview, also chad&lira and to everybody else who are anxious to get new progress on their cases.. good luck, i know the feeling, with excitements and disappointments. its worth it all.

by the way i forgot to include, my visa was delivered in Ermita Manila, after so much headaches dealing with delbros people, and keep tracking of visa status finally they delivered it to the hotel where we were staying on Labor Day.

thanks ate cora, sheriff uling and others who wished us luck.

God Bless to All

(F) Marivic (F)

Thanks for sharing your new experience...

Speaking again of those exotic foods, when i first dare my fiance to eat balut he was kinda hesitant and asked me "honey i thought abortion here is not allowed, why eating an embryo?! lol...so i told him to try it he did and he liked it but he dont know how to sip the 'sabaw" (juice). Then first time he saw too that a dirty ice cream (sorbetes) in a bun, then also he was amazed that only feathers of chicken we dont eat, lol! He likes the quial eggs ( pugo) and mangoes. He blamed me for having prickly heat. He was also suprised when he saw me eating the fish head, eyes and belly, lol! his eyes wide open...so everytime we eat, he will put his fish head, belly and eyes on my plate and he will get the fish flesh (unfair!). Funny to see their reaction...

Anyways want to say goodluck to Lira

and to the rest of May batch, hmmm im one of them...goodluck to us!

To imaskin, u can bring fried fish but makes sure u sealed it properly, anyways they dont mind it all.

Cenomar no need for authentication at Malacanang.
