When I got the NOA2 there is no case number yet...There is no MNL yet... its usual right?

Your NOA1 and NOA2 should have your Service Center's case number (CSCxxxxxxxxxx) but not the the Manila case number.

Your Manila case number should have been written in the appointment letter that was sent to you by the US Embassy. It should start with MNL2008xxxxxx. Have you received any letter at all from the embassy?

yeah i got their letter july 31. but its dated july 24. when i called NVC last july 21, thats when I got the MNL number.

My Uncle's fiance had her medical at St. Lukes and had a problem with her TB test. She is required to go back Monday for 3 days? Has anyone had this happen?

Yes, it happens. Below is an old post from vsmtqhy, a senior Manila VJ member who is a doctor. Maybe you can learn a few things from it.

"Only those with suspicious lung findings on their 1st CXR are requested to have another CXR done to confirm their suspicion. They will do comparison on the 1st and 2nd CXR films, if it will be negative, then she will be fine. 2nd CXR on the left lung? Maybe they did an apico-lordotic view. Does she have any history of PTB in the past? As a child? Any family history of PTB? Nowadays, some PTB patients don't look sickly, most are healthy and only through CXR that they are found to be positive for PTB. If her CXR will be positive, then they will ask her to have sputum AFB exams for 3 consecutive days."

Hopefully, your uncle's fiancee is TB-free. Otherwise, she will need to undergo treatment for at least 6 months. She will need to complete the treatment before she can be interviewed.

If you or Phil have a prior marriage, you need annulment or divorce papers. Kung wala naman, looks like you are good to go. I'm wondering lang why you have with you the medical results from St. Lukes. Nag-iba na ba ng procedure ang embassy? During my time, we only received the x-ray and vaccination sheet but not the medical result. They sent the result directly to the embassy along with my passport. Also, when you said receipts, is that for the proof of payment for the visa fee?

Hello ulit Ate Cora :blush: 'yung receipts na dadalhin ko 'yung binayaran ko para sa visa at document verification :D about sa medical result, 'nung nagpa-vaccine ako last august 5, inabot nila sa akin ang isang white envelope na naka staple at nakalagay sa envelope "Do not open, to be opened only by the us consular officer at the time of interview" sabi po sa akin ng mga friends dito sa vj na baka resulta daw po iyun sa medical :D medyo worried nga po ako that time 'nung inabot sa akin sa st.lukes 'yung envelope na 'yun together with the immunization record, na sa akin na rin 'yung x-ray film ko ;) thanks again Ate Cora :D i pray na malagpasan ko na ito :)

Haven't posted in this thread yet coz when I was starting out it was mostly few of the old timers (who have been united to their SO's) posting here so I felt OP (out of place) butting in. And then newer members chimed in with interview list updates (at time time, I already received my visa)... well, now that I am seeing flight list, I now have reason to post :innocent:

Hi dbears,

Thank you and welcome to the revived Manila thread. We used to be one big family around here where everyone from the Philippines posted. We are trying to build the list up again so thank you for joining.

To keep the list manageable, I will trim the list every 15th and end of the month so the names of those who have been interviewed from Aug. 1-15 will be deleted. Same thing will happen to those who have arrived in the US up until Aug. 15. They are welcome to post pa rin kahit wala na name nila just to keep us updated sa buhay America. We also would like to hear from the old-timers. Hey, what's up with you guys?

Sa mga bagong dating sa States, I want to let you know that you can save a lot of money sa grocery shopping nyo by cutting discount coupons from the newspaper delivery and by downloading them from the internet. I enjoy paying with coupons because I really, really save a lot. The cashiers do not mind it and more often than not, they will ask you pa if you want to use coupons. Nowadays, I feel cheated if I'm not able to use coupons sa grocery hahaha. I don't go grocery shopping hanggat wala akong naipon na coupons. Hobby ko ngayon, mag-gupit ng coupons every Sunday. I really enjoy it. Dito sa WA, the grocery sends out $10 coupons off $50 grocery bill. Malaking bagay din ba? Meron din "double manufacturer's coupon". Ask your spouse about it and they can explain them to you. Wala kasi sa Philippines ganyan kaya wala tayong alam.
