Our memorial day was great. We drove for 45 minutes from the house looking for a cone of ice cream :) but the countryride scenery was refreshing and Myla gets to practice her driving which she is doing great.

We also love the chicken wings in hooters, especially the spicy ones. . yummyyyy!

Hi Mae,

Yes I am driving around with my Learner's Permit and I love it . I am better now and proud to say I have good control of the car. I have been to places ( Orlando, Tampa ) with very bad traffic but I survived and I owe it to my husband Joe who is a good and patient teacher. My next quest is the interstate. . I still have to do better with my merging and I am practicing, practicing and practicing, lol. I must say its good that I didn't drive in the Philippines because I feel comfortable driving here with all the traffic lights and signs.

Tomorrow I will take my actual driving test so I can already get my permanent driver's license and can drive alone. I am excited and confident. I really love driving here.

Take care Mae.

Myla

Hello guys and gals!

Pinay Wife (same initials ~"PW") is my new screen name so as not to confuse me with another gal who also used "patiently waiting" as her screen name. I got cloned :crying: so I'll just mutate myself to another PW. At any rate, since I am waiting no more, the name change seems appropriate  .

Nice... hubby would love to know that there's a place in Manila where we can get good chicken wings.

Better if you celebrate your birthday at Hooters. According to Doug, if Hooters is made aware that it's your birthday, the girls will sing the birthday song (while sitting on the celebrant's lap???) and will have pictures taken with them. Make sure lang your Pinay asawa is not the jealous type ~ you don't want to go home with two black-eyes B) hehehe.

Roy, you are so tenacious! You are really determined not to let this thread die. If it were not for you and Sheriff, this thread would have been long dead. Long live Manila thread!

I'm going to bring a bunch of fake ID's so that everyday is my b-day when I go to Hooters in Manila. Yeah Baby Yeah!

:crying::crying::crying: I want to take the actual test too so I can practice more and drive on my own but I still have to learn how to do parallel and back parking!

:bonk:

... and after 1 week of celebrating it everyday, they will post a picture of you in all Hooters places with caption "Sheriff, banned for having too many birthdays"

@ Pinay Wife a.k.a. Ate Cora,

Don't worry, there may be other "patiently waiting" IDs here but there can only be one Pinoy Pop Superstar! erm... I mean, Patiently Waiting. :D
