pokes head in the room looks around hmmm seems very very quiet in here

Yap. back in the day, this thread was a cozy meeting when it was in the Foreign Embassy Forum. The success of this thread probably contributed to the creation of the Philippine Forum. Now that there is a mansion to roam around in, not many come to visit this cozy cottage.

I miss all the regulars... especially those who were here during 2006-2007 visa process. I made a lot of friends here. Good thing Roy, the Sheriff and my dear friends Danny and Ruchie are still here making little noise in our used to be cozy meeting place. Kudos to both of you!

Hey, mabu-hey ang Manila thread!!! I'm so touched that some of our members still remember me  [blush]

I do visit our thread once in a while. I tried to invite newcomers to our famous waiting list but only one or two replied. Newcomers seem to want to make their own thread so I just left it at that. I also noticed that there is another member from Manila named "patiently waiting" (my VJ name is PatientlyWaiting) so I was confused for a while there. I thought someone had hijacked my name :star: .

All is well with me. We finally moved to our own house in February. I got busy painting, furnishing and decorating the house and we still have a long way to go. I received my green card back in November. Doug signed an Affidavit of Support and he has no choice but to support me while I take my sweet time in finding work hehehe. Son is doing really well in school. He is in the high school honor roll. I hope he is able to maintain his grades.

It's nice to see that Roy and Yazi, Sheriff Uling, David-Mae Forever, KC_MP are still active. Where is the ever kikay LuzyC? And I see that Danoco, after keeping his silence for more than a year, has popped in.

Here's hoping that our thread will start being active again  It's nice to talk/write to all of you again.

Cheers!

Ate Coraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Hamisyuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! It's good to hear from you again! Gawd, I thought you stopped visiting here because you are busy campaigning for '08 Election. :D I'm glad everything is well and good with you and the family.

I miss the old days too when everyone sticks together in our own little space here in VJ. You did a good job in keeping us all organized back then. Looks like those days are over. :crying: Some of us are still here. Doing our best to help others. I might sign off too and just visit here every once in a great while. A lot of newcomers here are more independent and can do on their own. I even feel like an oldie with all these new procedures. Oh well... I had fun being here and I will always be proud to be a member here. Without my membership here, I don't think we could ever make it successfully.

Thank you Ate Cora... to you too Ahmari... and it's nice to see that Roy is also still here.

Here's to all of us!:dance::dance:

Hello Ate Cora...it's so nice to hear from you  . Good to know you're just around, silently lurking among us :):). There are so many newcomers now and they're indeed very busy making their own threads. I tried answering some of their questions but no one beats the wisdom of Ate Cora when I was the one asking some of those questions

Congratulations to the green card, new house and the good things that has been going your way.Don't inhale too much paint

It seems the Manila Embassy Interview Thread's time has past for maintaining a timeline or posting questions about the process. Perhaps it could serve another purpose. maybe it could be a place where members post their interview experience. perhaps it could be a place where members post how they dealt with a specific issue during the visa process.

when a member creates a thread about experiences or how they've dealt with a specific issue, it tends to get lost in the back pages after time. the member may no longer be around to give advise to to someone with a simular situation. it seems a shame when valuable information which can be helpful to others goes to waste.

what does everyone think? any ideas or suggestions?
