Manila Embassy Interview/Visa Status

I read this from some posts regarding application of state ID/drivers license..."download print-out of a DMV regulation stating that a state ID can be issued while awaiting for the finality of the AOS/greencard". Can somebody give me a link so I can understand it???

http://www.dds.ga.gov/drivers/DLdata.aspx?...71757&ty=dl

Tell the GA DMV that EAD is only one proof to show your legal status. Another proof is your unexpired I-94. If you have unexpired I-94, you do not need to show EAD especially since you did not apply for one. But then again, some govt. personnel are ignorant of their own regulations.

In my case here in WA, I was required by the local DMV to show my original birth certificate, my fiancee visa, I-94, marriage certificate, and a letter from a government agency addressed to me at the address where I live (I showed the USCIS letters).

do i need to include copy of U.S Department of State Vaccination Doc received at K-! medical examination?

If you have been to a Civil Surgeon already for your TD shot and transfer of DS 3032 (vaccination sheet) to I-693A, then it's only the I-693A that you need to submit along with your other AOS documents.

A# and I-94#:

just making sure guys since i'm now filling up the I-485 forms:

the A# is the one found in my VISA under my US citizen fiance (now husband)'s name, right? it starts with A followed by 8-digit numbers (as in A########). It is also the same as the number found on top of my name in the NOA2.

the I-94# is nine digits followed by another 2 digits (there's a space between them): ######### ##, right? do i include the last two digits or just the first 9 digits.

by the way, is there a manila thread for AOS? it's easier to ask questions under the AOS forum if you're talking with your "kababayans"... ;)

thanks!

That is correct. As for the I-94#, yes, you need to include the last two digits...

the fee for AOS/EAD/AP is $1010 right? what if i wont apply for AP? is it cheaper?

thanks :)

No! The AOS is a one time fee whereas the advance parole (optional) and employment authorization (optional) are include in the fee and the beneficiary has the choice to apply for the optional benefits.

I applied for my EAD but i got the rejection notice, asking me to pay $300 something...i paid $1010 though for my AOS.

Even if i had enclosed the receipt notice of my I-485 along with my EAD application and two 2x2 photo. The telephone number they(Nebraska Service Center) provided do not work.

Will they stop reviewing the case of my AOS if they reject my EAD?

I had experience my first snow here in WA... :star::luv::D:P i was amazed.

Imaskin...

Imatellin you NO! :P Your AOS case will not cease because the EAD was rejected. If you did not file your EAD along with you AOS application, then you were required to submit your NOA1 (Receipt Notice) along with your EAD. If this was not your issue, then I am humbly sorry for your temporary delay in joining the workforce and hopefully your AOS will be approved soon...

Per the USCIS website, in the Application To Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status (I-485) [CLICK HERE] - "If you filed a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, on July 30, 2007, or after, then no fee is required to file a request for advance parole on Form I-131 and/or employment authorization on Form I-765. You may file the I-131 and I-765 concurrently with your I-485, or you may submit the I-131 and/or I-765 at a later date. If you file Form I-131 and/or I-765 separately, you must also submit a copy of the receipt for your Form I-797C, Notice of Action, as evidence of the filing of an I-485."

Cheers!!!

After getting married, did you have to send the marriage license to the Philippines or Phils. embassy here to have your marriage on records?

you would need to do that when you choose to have your passport amended to your married name.

sorry, didn't see that had been answered.

Hello Manila Thread family! Well, I am finally done with the AOS.:dance:  Since it was transferred to CSC, it was approved last Dec. 3rd without an interview.:thumbs::thumbs: It is such a good feeling knowing that I can now live freely here in the US, drive (but I have to learn how to drive first  ) and travel out of the country. No more immigration for almost 2 years - yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Good luck to all who are still waiting in the visa process and may your journey will be as smooth as mine.

Cheers to all!

Thanks Sheriff :-)

Congratulations David-Mae.

We know that Ate Cora lives in Washington...and it was under the state of emergency because of the floods(10ft) and mudslide, i do hope she is safe along with her family (can anyone please contact her). To those(Manila VJ Family) who live here in WA that i don't know, i hope you guys are safe too. I live in Washington too, but fortunately there was no flooding in our area, just fast winds...non-stop rain for 3 days. But now the weather is dry and cooler. No rain.
