Anyone know if there is any civil surgeon here in Oregon or Washington or Las Vegas that will only get me a Td vaccine and transfer it to I693A form...and not take me a full medical exam. I have called the what is listed on the USCIS civil surgeons ..and oh my they will not just take for one vaccine but the lady said "we take full medical exam ONLY"...gosh i already had it last May and it is valid for one year, right?

can anyone please help me if you had been to any clinic to the states i have mentioned above that does not take full medical exam?

Thank you very very very much.

Imatellin you to click on my wife's profile in my signature. Go to her signature and check out the USCIS's Civil Surgeon Locator to find one in your area...

yes i have made calls already but they tellin me to have my full medical exam. i want the one that will only get me a td shot and not the full medical exam again. huhuhuhu, i will make calls to washington or las vegas. but if anyone knows which civil surgeon that will only take me a Td shot and not full medical exam...please tell me:-) thank you very much. also...my fiance's an active US military...do they provide one for me...oh i'm out of context here. well i gotta talk to him about it when he calls me back(he's still in the warzone for a mission...soon he'll be home and i pray and hope for their safety home-coming)

Take the I-1485 AOS Application to the civil surgeon's office and show them page 4, on the left side, states, "If you are a K-1 fiancé(e) or K-2 dependent who hada medical examination within the past year asrequired for the nonimmigrant fiancé(e) visa, youonly need to submit a vaccination supplement, not theentire medical report. You may include thevaccination supplement with your adjustment of status application." Don't worry, most civil surgeons are high on drugs  if they think that they can swindle VJ members in order to make a fast buck. They better think twice!

that really is relieving me now Sherrif.. thank you so much. thank you too ronmay for responding. that was funny too sherrif that they're high on drugs......wow thank you...

HI! same case as me!most of the doctors i called up they are insisting the FULL MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS. Hopefully this civil surgeon as we saw his name on the USCIS list of surgeons which is luckily my husbands' private doctor will help me to provide the I-693a. We have not yet talk to him since he is out of town. The said by Monday he can have the schedule to meet us. I had my TB SKIN TEST yesterday. by tomorrow Friday in the afternoon I will comeback to the clinic for the result it cost $25. DO you have any idea about skin tb test result?

another thing is anyone here from RENO NEVADA or SOuth lake tahoe who had met a civil surgeon that wont charge too much? Thinking only for another option in case our Doctor will not agree with our request. GOd Bless!

I just had my Td shot and vaccination record transferred to I-693A today in Portland. I was only charged $40 for the Td. Not sure why the doctor did not charge me $5 for the transfer fee as was advised to me over the phone. The doctor's name is Dr. Al Torres. His address is 2220 NW Pettygrove Street, Portland, ORR 97210 tel. (503) 224-0103. Clinic hours 8am-11am and 1pm-4pm.

The doctor is very nice. Dr. Torres (Costa Rican descent) asked if I am Filipina and when I said yes, he said "Mabuhay!". He knows a lot of stuff about the Philippines and Filipino traits. He said "maraming salamat po" to me too.

Ate Cora my God that is great...i am going to make a call...Thank you very very much for that :crying: And Congratulations too sure your wedding was great. We are getting wedded in Las Vegas too...but my fiance is still overseas, pretty pretty soon he is coming home and his deployment will be over. Which hotel that you can recommend me and how long did you get your marriage license? Did you have to make appointments or reservations first...ohhh sooo much questions, sowee. Huhuhu i think we can't make it before July 30, "sayang" hehehe. But we'll still try.

I had my TB SKIN TEST yesterday. by tomorrow Friday in the afternoon I will comeback to the clinic for the result it cost $25. DO you have any idea about skin tb test result?

Yes i have heard about TB skin test in the AOS section of this board. The lady from Germany got an RFE about it, though her GC was approved but she needed to take TB skin test. There was a guy that went to europe that had a TB...and they said that's why she was asked to have that test(is it because she's from europe?)...well i don't know about us(from PI). We had our chest x-ray film we'd been tested for TB...

By the way, did you get a letter from the USCIS to get TB skin test?

i haven't filed for my aos too since we are not married yet...waiting for my hun to come home from his deployment. i'd rather have an official letter from USCIS that they need to have the benificiaries tested for TB skin. I am going to have my InfoPass appointment and i will ask about the TB skin test.

Ate Cora has just given me the name, contact no. and address of the civil surgeon that will give me a Td shot and transfer to I693A....i was sooo happy after i called that number. But the problem came and it is sooo much bothering me. I just don't believe that my DS3025 is not on my folder, i had it yesterday. I have been looking for it inside my luggage...back on my folder...it's just so impossible. Or maybe my fiance's parents keep it and i just didn't know...they're still at work, i will ask them when they get home tonight. :crying::crying::crying:

hi all. :)

Got married 7-7-07 as well, and just sent out the AOS package yesterday.

I had issues with the SSA guy, as he wouldn't issue me an SSN with my name bearing my husband's name, even with the marriage certificate in hand. He told me to go to Cleveland (at least an hour away, provided i don't get lost), report to the DHS, get my name changed there, get it certified, and THEN he'll change my name to my married name. Meh. But I'll be getting the SSN under my maiden name by next week, hopefully. Good thing it's not required for the AOS package, or I'd have throttled the man.

About driving... how long are we allowed to drive on an international license? I've heard 3 months, I've heard 6 months. I'm confused. and scared of driving when i'm not supposed to be driving :P I've also heard that it's state-dependent, but Ohio's BMV site is worthless! Anyone who can give a heads-up on this?

Thanks :)

PS - Oh, I got my Td shot for 40$, and my vaccination supplement transferred for 25$. It was a close call, as no matter what I said about not needing the physical, the nurses were all like "Yes, yes, you only need the supplement.." or "Yes, but you need to do this as well.." or "I really don't know. They told us this is how to do it." while making me go through the physical procedures! But when the Civil Surgeon walked in, I said that before we start, I wanted a question answered, which was "Do I really need to do all this again? I just need my info transferred, etc etc..." So he went out, and told the nurses that the next time someone needs the info moved, they should just do it, and not trouble the patient AND the doctor. Whew!

PPS - That Td shot can be a pain. Really. Couldn't raise my arm for like 10 days! WAH!

hi iya,

i got my ssn before i got married, after we got married my husband and i went back to tha ssa together with my passport, marriage license etc and they attempted to change it, yet their system wont allow it to change  ... they said it would take awhile for the computer to access my file since during those time our case was pending at the USCIS (aos)... best thing to do, he told us to just wait for the GC then go back there if we still want it to change. anyways it wont really matter whether its ur maiden name or husband's name he said...

you better call the DMV about your license coz different state may vary different rules. like in my state they wont give my a license without a GC but some state would... better call them for that to be sure...

as for numbing td shots. lol. try to use it more often (nurse's advice lol)

Citizenship N-400

4/15/2010- sent my N-400 via fedex overnight

4/16/2010- signed and delivered

4/29/2010- check cleared

Anyway we applied our SSN at Reno Nevada The person who assised us was really kind and he just scan my marriage certificate then asked me what must be the name I wanted to appear in my SSS CARD. I wrote my married name completely. He didnt say anything. After a week I got it and it was exactly he on I wanted to appear in my card. Anyway girl, sooner that will be settle in your sss concern. Take care sis! My Td Shot was only $10 but I am not sure hw much will be my fee for my I-693A.

Ei Jackie, the wedding went well. Family from New Jersey drove over, so I still had family with me :) I don't think I have to rush with the SSN since as ronmay said, it won't make a difference. How's your thing with the DMV? Figured out what to do yet?

imaskin - You might have to get a copy of the DS form from back home.. or you can get a titer done here, so they can tell which vaccines you -have- gotten. And yeah, I assume there'll be fees for that - nothing's free in the land of the free. Except huge chunks of ice falling from the sky! The first week I was here, hale was reported to be the size of baseballs. I didn't know cuz I didn't go out then. :D

I didn't know about the TB skin test, though. Sent the AOS thing yesterday, but only found out about the TB skin test today. Bleh. I'll probably get it done when we have an interview scheduled... Buti na lang the CS is like 15 minutes' drive away from here! But really, if I'd known, I wouldn't have insisted that I didn't need it when they tried to make me take the test before. Haha. Oh well. (This is why I'm doing it later - hoping they'd forget that I was the one who fobbed off their attempts to ####### me with needles)
