Hi Everyone,

Thank you everyone for your support, and I wish the best for everyone else that has their interviews coming up,

take care always,

Goodluck on your fiance's interview.
Update...I just called the embassy and I asked the status of my wife's visa,(she got the 221g paper but nothing was checked) and they said everything was confirmed(paperwork) today and was sent back to the person(consul) handling the case. They said it might take a week or so to get to her case.... oh well, I guess I could wait. She's still waiting for her Nursing Board Exam Results, so she could get her license(anybody got info on that?when the results will come out) :hehe:
Local Board Exam results usually comes out after 1-2 weeks.
Hello everyone! I'm here now with my future husband!:dance: Boy, it was a long way to be here... 28 hours, Jesus! But thank God, I made it here safe and sound and seeing David at the airport made me forget about the long and tiring trip... and oh, the jetlag. He's worth everthing to me! (L) It seems so surreal that I am here with him. I had to pinch myself till I got bruised just to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Anyway, it's going to be a busy month for me with all the adjustments to make, meeting my future in-laws, some new friends, plus the wedding preparations on top of everything.

--Mae :luv:

That's great news! The long wait and the long trip is all worth it! Advance Congratulations adn Best Wishes on your wedding. Don't forget to share your pictures to this forum. Ingatz!

I heard that there are more than 70K examinees.

I know that you can do it.

After that register right away.Nurse ID card takes 2 months to be release then the professional certificates takes 3 months.

My advice is gather all the documents(school credentials), and be ready for NCLEX_RN.Gapuz ABC OF pASSING THE fOREIGN nURSING eXAM REALLY HELPS.

Send me a personal message if you have question.

Had our interview on Thursday June 7th, and VISA still not released. We were called around 11:30 to see the CO after turning the DS forms, PICS, Tax transcript for 2006 and Affidavit of Support to the pre-screener. As we sat back down, they told everyone to leave for lunch. After lunch we return to our seats expecting to be called, sat for a few hours and decide to see what the problems was. Anyhow they tell us that we were called at 11:58, we certainly didn't hear it. As we were waiting we found out that there was a index finger scan that should have been done at end of CO interview, we informed the woman at window 37(?) that it wasn't done. She went and checked and said it was done, my fiancée said no it wasn't, anyhow they gave us the pink slip and told to pay DELBROS.

Fast forward to the following Monday, my fiancée receives a call from the Embassy to come back and do her index finger scan, she reports to window X and then does finger scan after they locate her file.

Jump ahead a week and I call the embassy to see why VISA still is not released. Either Lorraine or Sandy tells me that my Fiancée's father is a Naturalized American, LOL. They said she was told at interview to report to American Citizen Service to apply for USA Passport. I said no she wasn't, I was there. I get off the phone with the Embassy and called her. She checks with her family about this, you see her father has been deceased for twenty years. Both her mom and Lola assure her that her father has never been to the United States. So I call the Embassy back and inform them.

Another four or five days later I call again, now the file has been transferred back to the CO. I asked if they need anything more from us, no they say, its just waiting for approval. I call every few days to check, still no change, nothing needed, and it's at CO's desk. I have spoken to Lorraine and Sandy a few times now, no help. My legal representation that touts having a professional working relationship with the Embassy in Manila and full Embassy support are of no help, they suggest if it goes on like this I contact my Senator, Thanks.

So I fax the Privacy Release Act form to both my Senators and my US Representative. No reply from them, I will be calling their offices to follow up and calling back the Embassy again in the next day or two. It is also nice that DELBROS can't keep their database up and running.

There, I feel better now. Just that the summer is passing away and I will be celebrating Independence Day without out the woman I love. I know others have had to wait a lot, lot longer than us. So its not a pity party, just a wake up call. Uncertainty is certainly a test of the strength of a couple's relationship.

Moral of the story, if everything isn't spot on the day of the interview, then be prepared to wait. Pink slip or not. Regardless of what they tell you. Even if you try your best and meet all the requirements, things can still go astray. So the Visa Journey continues.

Good luck to upcoming interviews, I hope you the best. Congratulations for those we met at the Embassy, who had success, and a quick review process for the others we met there.

i think those who have their interview in june are going through the same agony.

we are on the same boat. my interview was on june 20. like your fiancee i also got the pink slip and the consul even said CONGRATULATIONS at the end of the interview but up to now i am still waiting for the VISA. my fiance called up the embassy last friday and a lady told him that it is still at the consul's desk and to call back thursday or friday this week and never to call back on monday(yesterday) to wednesday because it is holiday. maybe all june interviews have no visa yet.

hope our visas will be released soon.

I know, Ano. It's tough to wait, but you're closer now than you ever were before and getting closer every minute. My honeyko and myself needed to make some concrete plans for a celebration we're having in the Philippines, and we needed to do it before we had our interview date, so basing it on my best guess, and factoring what I thought could be a certain amount of AR time, I came up with August 4. Well, she had her interview June 5 and her visa a week later and I still have a month to go!!!!!! But it's all in God's hands, I know that. In ways I haven't completely realized, we are using the time for the best.

I know things will work out well for you, hang in there.

Ano -> I wish you'll receive good news from them any time now. Looks like USEM is overwhelmed with visa applicants and are taking too much time to grant this applicants their visas. You fiancee will receive her visa soon. Just don't give up on following up your case. You are a very "patient" man and you will reap good rewards from all of this. Good Luck and Congrats (in advance).
