I am putting together all my forms and collecting the info needed to file my CR1 visa. I started filling out some of the forms, just to give myself practice and I came across some questions:

1. On the I-130 where it asks for your spouses address, what did you put? Evan has only given me a PO Box address in Negril, I'm not sure if he has a physical street address on his house. Did anyone else have this problem? It seems they ask for the "street" address a couple of times on this form and the G325a.

2. Did you fill out your forms by hand in ink, or did you fill them out on the computer?

3. Also on I130 # 15 do they want to know Evans current place of work information in Jamaica? Or is this question only if your spouse is currently working in the US?

Thanks guys

Ditto!!! I think, at least for me, I come here because we all have something in common. I agree with what Shamonya, whats posted here dosen't/ shouldn't make or break your relationship, but because we have that one very important thing in common, it's easy( at least it should be) to put yourself in the other persons shoes, and at least for me try to experience what that person maybe feeling before I/we just post what ever comes to my mind without really thinking about it. Although I have never met any of you, after almost three years of posting, you get to know certian things-ways about the posters character and of course you respect the opinion of those who have been supportive of you through the years. I just tend to look over the rest. In defense to Shaymonia and In respose to the "vet" who is posining the thread. I'm trying not to call anyone out here, but I'll go head and say it. I feel that Kelly used the thread to get her point(s)n across to her husband.( you can call me and curse me out if you want  ) It kinda started the whole thing. Although her inital post was by accident...There were newbies coming in at the same time who didn't really know all the Kelly had been through and for whatever reason felt that she was being whiney and generalizing toward JA men and there has been bickering every since. It's hard to put your dirty laundry out here in public eye, I commend her..I've done it also for it, sometimes things seem so bad....you feel at the time you don't have anyone to turn to...you/we think we can come here for support because we all have something in common but really almost you can't. People are too judemental ESP those who know nothing about you. I have made some really good friends. Some know more about me than family who see me on a daily basis. So just know that if I make a post or a response to something that's posted, it not meant to be judgemental, no relationship is without problems. We should all try to positive by supporting and encouraging one another and not forget the purpose of this site, I think it's great that it has become something more, but some are not here for that, they are here for information and that's it, for the friends I've made so far, I'm glad to have you, I am greatful for the support and Kelly I hope you haven't taken offense to my post. I'm glad things are changing for the better for you and Craig.

Mindy Bring your a$$ back here

Absolutely NO offense taken !!! Yes, what I posted was by accident, way back, but "I" know that I have helped more than the "newbies" really realize and yep, they were kindof right in the middle of all the mahem. Yep, I think some of it was kindof of "shocking", but I touched more relationships than I actually realized and it was nice to know that my relationship wasn't the ONLY one that had it's problems and similarities to others !!! I thank those that have been supportive and you know who you are !!

Dee - there's no need to defend me...I can speak for myself. I was referring to a few vets. It bothers me that some vets and newbies left because of the drama. I know some newbies left they felt like they were being attacked by vets. Hopefully they will all return soon.

I would hope our "job" as vets is to share our experiences....good or bad. Most people on here know that I have no problem sharing our experience...so far a positive one. I've made lots of good friends on here....met 4 VJers in person and plan to meet at least 3 more before the summer end. I talk to some weekly on the phone...we support each other. I wouldn't come here everyday if I felt like I wasn't contributing or needing support.

Someone in a thread down below mentioned ESL classes and I thought it wasn't necessary because they are English speakers, but that might actually be good for them.

A lot of the Yardies men took ESL classes. Tony did  He speaks excellent English, BUT his reading and writing skills needed a lot of improvement

$1800.00 a month isn't that great when u look at salaries in the USA. yes compared to JA it is very good but maybe the cost of living is lower where u live.

Good point. I do think a lot of it depends on the cost of living. That's what really shocked Tony when he came here. Everyone makes more money BUT everything costs more too  For instance Tony's rent for his 1 bedroom apt. in Jamaica was only $100 a month compared to our $1000 month mortgage here!!! The other thing that really gets to him is the high cost of all our insurances here - auto insurance, home-owners insurance, health insurance, etc.... He never had to worry about any of those things in JA.

I suggest you get your facts straight before you accuse me of 'trashing' Jamaican men.

Actually, I am English.

Suprisingly enough I am moving to the US for LOVE ;)

Come on.................lighten up !!!! This is exactly WHY we've lost ladies (and maybe some men) from this thread !!! That's awesome that you ARE coming here for love...............but................please remember we are **mostly** talking about the "JA" MEN !!!!!!!!!!!

:yes::bonk: Exactly. We NEVER had a problem with members leaving the Yardie thread before!!! NEVER.

ENOUGH.......What has this thread become????........ It sure was not created three years ago to have people be nasty and rude to each other for spreading "their" experiences!!! We all come to this thread in different stages, different experiences, different lifestyles and we SHARE!!!

We certainly do not pick over peoples posts and make them personal......IF you are here for that than GO AWAY!!! This site has been a wonderful thing for many people.....me included. I NEVER dreamed that I would be experiecing some of the things that I have gone through and the words of wisdom from others have helped emensely.

Alien.....you have a different experience than all of us because we are mostly dealing with JA men...like Kelly said...your experiences are helpful to anyone who has a similar situation......PLEASE Stop the the attacks....we have lost too many veterans who started this post because new people come on here and ruin it...I left for many months because I was sick of some of the same stuff......

ALSO......we have no right to judge anyone. Telling Nanny that YOU would toss him on the street if it was YOU...HELLO??? And telling Kelly that Craig is here for opportunities.....Is all this necessary??? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! Stop this NOW or LEAVE the yardies thread.....

Darlene......Stay around lady...we will clean up this thread and make it back to what it use dto be and what it was originally intende to be when Ms. Squito created it.....

Yes, yes, and yes :thumbs: I agree with you Kim completely!!! This thread has been around for a long time now. Recently we've lost alot of our Veterans due to mean, rude, and un-called for comments. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all!!!

This also brings up the fact that these Black men are coming from a country where their race is the majority. They never knew what it felt like to be the minority in their country, or hometown, or HOUSE for that matter. That can drive anyone crazy, trust me. Do some of your guys live in a neighborhood or city, where there are not many Black faces? Not much Black culture? That makes a HUGE difference.

Good point. Unfortunately my neighborhood is 95% white :o Tony was/is the ONLY black person on the block! I am so thankful that he adjusted well and everyone is really nice and friendly to him. I think it helped that he worked in the tourism industry in Jamaica so he was surrounded by (mostly) white people every day!! Whenever we go out, we try to go to places that are more mixed though.
