So...with that bit of footage....I sign out...this thread has become something I simply can not stomach.....It is really too bad that some new lady from the UK has decided to take something so "sweet" and turn it into personal attacks and personalize things.....I certainly hope you STAY Far away from the yahoo group...I will keep my updates posted on that.....To the original posse: Darlene, Jonesie, Minday, Ms Squitto, Denden, Shemonya, Rhonda, Kelly, Jamie, Shauna, Michelle, Jax, Ricardo wife, Ebony...and ANYONE ELSE I forgot..peace and love.......May all your future dreams come true....The ALIEN has possesed this thread and I leave before I get all ignorant and have to get "ghetto" on the UK child........

I personally think a veteran is poisoning the thread. I'll leave my thoughts to myself but trust me...it's not only the newbies. I feel so offended (more so than ever) by the comments made today and yesterday......

I will continue to lurk and post because this website does not make or break me or my marriage....

Good night ladies.

I love this site but am torn about what has been happening. I come back and want to cry because this has been a great support system. Stay or go I don't know many have been so helpful and your right one or two bad apple post shouldn't hurt the bunch. I am going to continue to read for awhile because I need to know focus on my family and our dreams for life. I thank everyone who has been so kind and considerite so I will see. And my would these boys stop playing video games geeish.

Congrats my girl  I know you must be on cloud 9

In regards to all the drama and whatnot that's been going on here - I know that it won't always be peace, love and hairgrease but I feel that everyone should be able to post their opinions without generalizing/stereotyping. Based on the past recent arguments it seems like this has been the start of it all.

Those that have been here with me from back in the day know that I have nothin but love but seriously all this pettiness is getting old. I know this is about to hurt some feelings but we (boardies) need to be focused on making our relationships/marriages/families work and not trying to browbeat/nitpick/argue at the drop of a hat. All of the energy wasted on arguing here is ridiculous.

Seriously, I would have been up like a few and left a long time ago but this forum was one of the biggest reasons hubby and I made it thru this whole visa process so far and I am more than grateful to those that were here before me sharing their experiences. I want to give back what I was given, which was encouragement, words of advice, great tips on applying for the visa and completing all the necessary steps, and just to chat with my yardie peeps here.

I hope that things change soon, because if not it will definitely be the end of what started out as one of the most positive and powerful resources not only on this board for yardies and other West Indian peeps in general going through this process.

Jonesie are you going to find out if you are having a boy or girl or wait until the little one is born?

I totally agree with you on giving back and sharing about the experience and helping others through the process. That is what I want to give back.

That's our plan too (moving to JA). We're both thankful for the blessings we've had (for me to live there with him and for him to be here as my husband, no longer doing the long distance thing). Can't wait to eventually finish making babies  and move back.

I am kind of getting worried now, I went to school in Jamaica, and even though I have 10 years law enforcement experience, I am wondering if they accept CXC (Caribbean Examinations Council) passes as equivalent to GED??

I also finished a year in university but didn't finish my degree.....

The community college in my area accepts CXC. It all depends on the school. Just ask around :)

  Babies not one two??? Oh my gosh my hubby says we can't find out until the day we have a kid. He researched my illness online and told me I had to have a section to make sure I was safe and baby. He is like my father I swear. We have our names already picked out. Do you guys have any names you both like?

One more thing about the interview they had our K-3 case pulled out at the first section and I said oh no we are doing the Cr1 visa so she went back and got our case. My hubby had no clue there was 2 visas I filled for then I explained as she went to go get the case. Then he got what the 2 were and the differences. Okay I am bored with them playing games maybe I should go to bed soon.

I wanna find out asap so we can start talking about names  I wanted to wait and make it a surprise but hubby ain't havin it, neither are the inlaws or my family.

It's hard to give back when you feel like what you contribute isn't appreciated...I just hope that there is that one lurker out there that feels like our posts are valuable and have been a help in their process. I have been overlooking a lot of the feuds but my eyes are starting to

HEY JONESIE, LET ME TELL YOU..YOU GUS HAVE BEEN SOOO MUCH HELP TO ME AND THIS LAST PHASE OF THE JOURNEY..I REALLY APPRECIATE ALL THE ADVISE..AND IT REALLY SUCKS THAT THINGS GET OUT OF HAND SO TERRIBLY AND WE ARE NOT EVEN IN EACH OTHERS FACES..IT'S JUST ASHAME AND I VERY MUCH A HAPPY I STUMBLED UPON THIS SITE..MUCH THANKS TO ALL OF YOU GUYS...

I am here visa approved that was so easy. Oh my Lord can I tell you how easy it was. :secret::dancing::goofy: :energetic: :jest::yes:

Congrats!!!

Funny that YOU accuse me of attacking people yet I have never spoken to anyone the way you seem to find it acceptable to speak to me ;)

Yay!!

When I was in HS I wasn't doing well and my parents were going through a bitter/angry divorce and I was stuck raising my sibs...so I dropped out and got my GED, about 6 years ago. I took a placement test to see what areas I needed to work on and passed them all with flying colors so the next day I took the "real" test and passed in the top 3% of the nation and had my GED that same day. Whole thing took me 2 days. If you can pass the test then you don't have to take the classes...the classes are there for you to get up to par so that you are able to pass every section.

That's wonderful!!

Had visions of sitting through months of classes for it!!

Guess will see what happens when I start applying for jobs....
