Hey Rhonda I'll be in Jamaica during that time! I'll primarily be in Negril, but we'll be in Ochi on the 21st-23rd maybe for a honeymoon. The wedding is the 18th. I'd love to meet up with you!

Neither one of us know much about Ochi, whereabouts will you be?

Awesome  Yeah, we'll have to hook up. We'll be staying at "Rooms on the Beach" (formerly Club Jamaica). It's nice - recently all renovated with all the necessities and literally right on the beach!! It is located right in the heart of Ochi on Turtle Beach. It is just West of Sunset Jamaica Grande. If you're still looking for a hotel, it's a nice little 3 star - it usually goes for $95 a night for an ocean-view w/ balcony but we got it on special for $75 on hotels.com :D

You can also PM me if you want.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dont stay there. We just got back. I will tell you why..PM me.

We have considered staying there as well...can you either PM me why or share with all of us? Please?

Good Morning All! How is everyone doing?

Me too..I want to know ..I'm just nosey

I wanna know too. I stayed there before when it was Club Jamaica and had a great time. Now I usually stay at Columbus Heights/Skycastles which is up on the hill, but know that I'm 7 months pregnant. I will be staying in a 2bed at Sandcastles when I go in May. What's wrong with Rooms?

Please post what you happened at that hotel. I have clients interested in staying there for their honeymoon and from the reviews that I've done, didn't seem like such a bad place. I've only been to Ochi 2x, but it was a long time ago. Rooms is a SuperClubs property as of 2004.

Please keep me in mind if you need help with any of your travel arrangements. Thanks

Thanks, Kel. I would only need help with flights cause we will stay at Andre's mom's house. They are even building another room on for us since they gutted out his old room. I will keep you in mind....we are looking at Christmas time maybe.

I have a question...what exactly does the first "touch" mean? Do you think this is when they are assigning the case? Or someone pick it up and is still working on it? Oh yeah..I'm a junior member now....but really relatively new to VJ.

I've become addicted. :D

If you have an idea as to when you're traveling (or wherever), I keep a list of "airfare to watch" at my computer and I keep a constant eye out for airfare for my clients.....

You need to sign up on the USCIS site and when you check if the date has changed that means someone has looked at it or put it at the bottom of the pile (just kidding). It is frustrating not to see the date change...

Will hollar when I have some concrete dates in mind. Thanks a whole lot for the offer. If you want to keep a watch out....Somewhere inbetween December 22nd and January 1st. We are pretty flexible in that time frame as I would be off that whole time. Would love to spend most of it in JA.....fly into Montego Bay.

Oh, and out of St. Louis, Mo.

exactly, My hubby will be working for a few days while i'm on this trip and I want to be closer in town. this is my first time staying at sandcastles. I have read bad reviews about the 1bedrooms but great reviews about the 2 bedrooms because the 2 beds are not owned by the hotel but by individuals, so i'm hoping for the best and our kids just love the beach.

You can alway try google jamaica, it does do a bit better for jamaican releated searches. But, the data found is accurate, as furthur up the page it described what I went through, only less fees as I went directly to the Ministry of Immigration and Passports on Constantspring Rd in Kingston.

Thanks. I have been thinking of getting dual citizenship but thru my parents. I didn't know you could also do it thru marriage. Looks likes all the requirements are the same just takes different processing times. My parents are now USC as of 2002. Does anyone know how that may affect me since they don't have a Jamaican passport anymore?

The first touch is usually when the check was cashed and the NOA was mailed out. It was that case w/me.
