Congrats to all who have made it through the process.... I have been off line for a few days as I am in Jamaica now and my laptop chose to freeze up on me....BUT now I have it working and thought I better check in. Good news....I the weather has been good, Bad news....I am ending my journey. I only say bad because my heart is a bit hurting now but in the long run I know this is a good thing. Kev and I had a great first 2 days together going out partying the first then out in country with his family the next then it all went to hell. Don't ask me what happened because for the life of me....I don't know. I just know that the way he handles differences of opinions it will NEVER work in the USA. He used jealousy as an excuse to cause issues between us....I beleive it was an excuse...whatever the reason... I am too old to be going though this ######. Well....I need to log off because I am not spending my last night in the hotel... Heading to a bar on the beach---no worries...I have a companion....nothing more!! Nothing like going though a breakup in jamaica!!!! always someone to make you feel betta!!!! Sorry guys...just trying to keep from crying :crying:

Good Afternoon All,

Well, I was very happy this morning knowing that the NVC received my case.

However, I called and talked to an operator and she gave me some dishearting news......

She said that once the NVC receives it, it takes between 10-15 days to match the mail to the case.

Once it is matched to the case, then it takes 2-4 weeks to review and if everything is complete and nothing is missing, then the interview will be scheduled.

She said we may not even be able to get a January interview date. They will be scheduling January interview dates the 2nd week of December and she doubts if we will make that cut off either.

Boy this really makes me wanna :crying: !!!!

Peace & Love,

Tonya

Hush Tonya,

I feel the same way! I kindda realized that a January date wasn't a viable option for me at the end of last week. Look on the bright side at least you are further ahead than me! Your getting February for sure...me, I'm thinking March at this point...or should I say HOPING March!:lol:

Hang in Sweets...It's a coming!! Plus, it could go a lot quicker than she expressed. You never know what to expect from USCIS...that's the beauty or the ugly about them...depending upon your viewpoint  !

Blessed,

Gill

My heart goes out to you.......This process takes forever it seems like but it is coming to an end.....I hope things pick up speed on your end.....I talked to the lady again this morning......She said that they will continue to schedule interview dates for December until they reach their quota......I am keeping an open mind and continue to hope and pray that he will be home soon! The people that I have met on here has been a tremendous support group......and I count my blessing for everyone......Hats off to all!

Peace & Love,

Tonya

Breed Har Again

A 17 year-old Jamaican girl tells her Mom that she has missed her period for the last two months. Very worried, the mother goes to the pharmacy and buys a pregnancy test.

Confirming her worst fears, the test result is positive. Shouting, swearing and crying, the Mother says, "Which rass man do dis to you? Mi need fi know now!"

The girl picks up the phone and makes a call. Half an hour later, a BMW X5 pulls up in front of their house; a dapper looking man dressed in an Armani suit steps out and walks to the house.

He sits in the living room with the father, the mother, & the girl and tells them: "Good morning, your daughter has informed me of the situation. I can't marry her because of my personal family situation, but I'll take charge. I will pay all costs & provide for your daughter for the rest of her life.

Additionally, if a girl is born I will bequeath her 2 retail stores, a townhouse, a beachfront villa and a $2,000,000 bank account. He continues: "If a boy is born, my legacy will be a factory and a $4,000,000 bank account. If twins, they will receive a factory and $2,000,000 each. However, if there is a miscarriage, what do you suggest I do?"

At this point, the father, who had remained silent, places a hand firmly on the man's shoulder and very decisively tells him, "You can breed har again ..."

Brownskin (Dee & Dave) - had their problems, but back on strong

Damn straight! I tuk back what the devil ...tiredto steal from mi. Babelyon(msp) no nah fi come round yersso, you see it. ;)"Where there is marriage there will be trouble" Mi just know fi have somtin waiting fi him, fi him deside to come back  I agree with Jamie, I never came into this thinking I was "better" than my husband, or had to rescue him from a life of poverty, I did how ever felt the need to protect him from this or that or explain everything once we arrived here. I mothered him. I stopped, it's not like he listened anyway, somethings they he had to find out the had wey. Honestly, it feels so good to over come. Sometimes I lie in bed and cry because I cannot believe how blessed we are, what we have been able to come through. I love that song..."I'm a movement by myself but we are a force when we're togehter" describes us to a T. Often I have trouble keeping up with him, He works so hard. Like I would pray for God to send mi someone who would at least put in 25-50% in to the marriage. My husband gives me 125%, Where much is given, much is required...to maintain. All mi have teh seh it's damn hard wuk and it have teh come from both parties.

You go girl!!

Very true on the whole coming off like a mother in trying to help him get adjusted. I had to do so much and it wore me out and made him feel like a loser - nobody won. So now there are many matters that he handles on his own. He still seeks my help and advice, but I no longer volunteer it.

Hey chica!!! Wagwaan!!! member wha Jonesie seh lie on yeh back and no cleaning up afta. No worries, soon foward in Gods good timing.

What happened to that book you were going to send mi ?

Now sometimes I have to tell hubby, my daddy don't live roun yersso cause he's the one trying to give all the advice and correction :wacko::blink:

Right now, I am just praising God because there were many nights when all I could do was cry myself to sleep because I missed him so.

Tam, I didn't realize that you guys had been married for sooooo long (F) Did you wait a while to file after you married? I'm just curious why it took so long for him to get the Visa?

We did wait a while. Mostly because when we got married I wasn't working, so I didn't have the money to file for him. After we got married, it was a year before we were able to see each other, because the money just wasn't there to buy the ticket. Then because I had issues getting my citizenship, my mom hooked me up with an immigration lawyer and I wanted to file for Aaron at the same time that I filed for my citizenship. He told me to wait until that came through and file for Aaron then. I wished I did it the way that I originally wanted to, but figured he knew better than I did...BIG MISTAKE! If I could do it all over again (that is filing earlier, I wish to stay away from Immigration as much as I can  , but alas, I am filing for my dad now). Thanks for asking Rhonda

Hi Tonya,

I know it seems never-ending, but this too will pass. The DS-230 part of the process was the longest part for us, but once the case was complete, as you can see in our timeline we got our interview date within a month. You will probably get a February interview date, but it will be here before you know it  .
