Ok....who can tell me how to get this pic smaller so my posts aren't so big :)

Click on the photo in photobucket. Then click on 'Edit'...Then choose a size :)

I know i did that but the size options are only like 4 and neither of them give a small pic

Hi All,

It has been two weeks since David arrived. Things are going really well for the most part. David got his SSC on Thursday and my baby went and got his GA driver's license on yesterday :dance: . I am so happy for him. He has a few leads on jobs so he will start applying for them next week.

I think he is adjusting to his new life in the USA. He is not calling JA much at all. A couple of his immediate family members do have the mega phone and call pretty frequently. We are truly blessed that David does have several very close friends that live in the Atlanta area as well as thru out the US.

Adjusting to living together....well he was here 3 month last fall so we just felt back into the groove we develop then.

All in all I am truly enjoying my husband finally being here permanently. Yes we have the normal couple arguments but we are just learning and exploring each others. Hopefully David will get his green card in the couple of week so we will be set for then next two years

Ok since we are on the topic of removing conditions...I have a question for y'all...

So me and the hubby are working on things and they are getting better everyday but we don't live together currently and haven't since May. We probably won't be back living together before it is time to file (Feb). Do you think this will be a big problem? We can't get the typical evidence together because we don't have the same address. What would you all do for evidence? How would you address it in the RC packet? It will be obvious since we don't have the same address.

I would STRONGLY advise you move in before the interview...In fact, I would imagine the success of the interview most likely depends on it..I wouldn't mention that you'd been living apart either...

As for proof, why not add him to some of your bills now even though you aren't living together?

And any new bills can go in joint names....

Do you or him have insurance? Make sure you're named on the policies

You could add him to any credit cards you have too...

I agree Jamie.

Who knows where an RGD (RDG?, I always forget!) office is for someone in Ochi to get their non-impediment form. I saw a girl ask on another thread. Please give specifics if you know as her fianace hasn't a clue.

Thanks for trying to help me out with the RGD stuff earlier. Someone sd we might have to go to Kingston if the one in Ochi has odd hours or doesn't do some of the requests at that location. Oh well, I'm still working on it...

Back to JA in 2 weeks

You're welcome. If you have the time, I would definitely visit the RGD in Kingston. I'm off to Jamaica on Sunday. My hubby's interview is on Tuesday. Please pray for us.

Good luck mrs. Scott!!!:dance: We're pulling for you

Those words/phrases mentioned above are "slang words" so yes they will/might not be around next year. Thats like looking at a teenager and saying "that's fresh" they would give you a blank stare. Some of you reading that phrase might be giving me a blank stare too. lol

Bottom line patios is mainly a spoken language and when writing its spelled phonetically - meaning you spell it the way its pronouced. Hence the spelling changes/variations. and the beauty of it all is that it is a dialect of english. and as long as the person slows down so u can pick up the words individually, you should have no problem.

at least patios is a spoken language...I had to learn Latin for 7 years and that language is dead like herring and only written

Well I say it is a great book. It was recomeded to my by an American who know lives in Jamaica with her husband. She has lived their 10 years now. I know it helped me out a lot. Everyone is shocked that I understand spoken patios real well. When they ask my hubby that I really know what they are saying he says yes. Plus I can speak it but he gets embrassed if I do. I spoke patios to his good friend once and he was in shock and laughing so hard because he thought I didn't understand. The book helped me out a lot. The little tourist books don't help. I recomeded it to any one. I would give it 3 1/2 stars since it might go out of date. :)!!
