:lol::lol: yes mike is/was 24...he will be 25....but more like going on 5.....here is a good example...last night whinning that he doesn't have everything he wants...he wants this and that...and wants someone who can buy him whatever he wants...blah blah blah keeping ME up till 12 am...complaning...singing just being a jerk...and then like a little child asks me if i am mad at him when we got up....it just never ends

Well good Lord does he have a job? Does he say these things cause he expects you to buy them for him. I find this to be a Jamaican trait. LOL. I thik it comes from the misperception of how much money American make or have.

Yes as well as Craig. He does the same thing, but not to that extent. Before Craig went to Philly last week, he whined that he didn't have ANY clothes (meanwhile, he has a TON) !!! but...ya know, not "name bran sh&t"....so he kept saying, so are you going to buy me something? and I'm like, um....NO....you have a job, budget yourself to go and BUY some stuff. We went to Walmart and I did get him a $5.93 shirt! He picked it out and he LOVES the shirt, but I was not going to buy him shoes, pants, etc etc. OH HECK NO !!!

Mike is a picky booger when it comes to clothes !!! Craig was to for about the first 2 months, then he started working (at a football warehouse) and saw HOW expensive clothes really were! So when I brought home 97 cent shirts (about 10 of them) with the price tags of the original price still on them, marked down....he was SHOCKED !!!!

I LOOOOOVE Old Navy ....... that goes out to you kelly :D

How old was he when he got here?

It would be interesting to know the ages of ALL our SO's when they arrived here.

I don't know how old my guy will be when he gets here...so we'll see as time progresses.

Damien was (is) a baby...he came here 22 years-old...3 years ago. We're almost 11 years apart.

Someone raised him right !!!!

I agree. He is very mature...I'm the silly one. He's more serious than I am. We actually have a lot of fun together.

Damien is a "label ho" but I don't have a problem with it because he buys it with HIS money. He doesn't waste money, pays bills on time, takes me out on dates, buys my daughter and I stuff all the time so I can't complain. He'll ask my opinion before he buys something expensive....no, I don't understand it but he deserves it. He works at least 30 hours overtime every pay period. He'll buy himself something nice every 3 months or so.

lolololol....

I wrote that!!!

I guess you're on Jamaicans.com too!!!

They went on and on about their fine "boyfriends" and everything that happened on the trip. I asked how long that had been with their boyfriends...and all of them admitted that this was their first trip to Jamaica. When I asked them how they dealt with the attention from gigalos...they all looked at me like I had two heads and said what gigalos?

Oh boy  I can already see how this is going to end. It's sad but I see it happen all the time while I'm down there. Last time, a guy on the beach was trying to get ME to give him money - even after I pointed out my JA husband napping on a nearby lounge chair  He wanted me to sneak him $20 so he could get home. I told him to take a Juta bus or route taxi and no way would it cost him $20! That got rid of him!!

The guys in JA are so bold-faced. I was leaving JA and checked into the airport at 4:30am and spent some time outside with Mike before I had to go through customs/immigration. As I was going through security this guy was trying to pick me up. I looked at him with disbelief in my eyes. It is so sad, because most of them is just looking for an easy ride and don't care sho they pick up.

Welcome back Claire...we would love to see some pics.:dance:

Oh Marie, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Gosh this really stings when this ridiculous violence in Jamaica is starting to really hit us at home here in the US. I wish all the best to you and your family and hopes that the pain will subside soon.

the problem i forsee with mr jengles is how much money he wants to send down to JA, my man said he wanted to send down $150.00 a week, so i calmly informed how much daycare will cost for our little bundle of joy, and stated that we need a bigger house. After that he did wig out a little bit wondering if he could get a job that would pay him enough so that he could meet his "personal responsibilities" as he put it. So that is where I said this is why u are getting your GED and will go to school for your CDL. The only thing he's asked for since he's been here is a pair of sneakers and I told him I don't buy footwear for men and kept it moving.

Yah, that is a problem. The money home thing. Good luck with that. Gets especially hard when they start putting more pressure on him.

The shoes things cracks me up. Been there on that one.

the problem i forsee with mr jengles is how much money he wants to send down to JA, my man said he wanted to send down $150.00 a week, so i calmly informed how much daycare will cost for our little bundle of joy, and stated that we need a bigger house.

I've been noticing that his mother is calling him a lot, she has three other working sons right there with her, so why not call them and I won't get into dealing with his children's grandmother about how one of the daughters didn't get any clothes.
