Ok, I am going to go to bed as well, but nerves a kill mi; I can't believe he will be here in a few days. He was even telling me last night that he knows I am nervous. Last night I told him that I feel like I don't enough time in my day and he says that's a change from when I would beg God to speed up time so we could get together sooner!!

I was getting the same thing esp. when I was going thru the process to get him here It just makes me sick that some people sterotype some much!! Like all the men here in the US are al that and a bag of chips Jamaican men ain't #### HA!! There are plenty men here who don't have or want a job... My husband has been here for about 6 months and has not 1 but 2 jobs...

After hearing all the negative things I was hearing... I stopped talking about the process to certain people. And to this day not many people no he's here or that I'm married to him. I just feel like it's my business. Everyone has an opinion but I don't have to listen to it. I don't have time nor do I want to be bothered with negative VIBES

He asked me why the sun shines outside if it's cold. Well, I went to work, and I get a call from him...teeth chattering and breathing labored. He decided I didn't know what I was talking about when I told him it was 28 degrees outside. He woke up looked out the window at the beatiful sun rays...and decided to take a morning jog...in shorts and a marina. By the time he realized that no matter how close the sun looked...no matter how fast he ran...he couldn't warm up. No to mention that people in cars and the neighbors were staring at him like he had lost his mind. He said it was the hardest run in the world to get back to the house because he was frozen solid. We still laugh about it to this day.

Oh my gosh, Tony did something similar to this on his first day here! He also thought because the sun was out and shining bright, it must be warm out. He put on shorts and a tank top and flip flops and comes running to wake me up. He says to me, wake up it's hot and sunny and nice. I asked him if he had been outside yet. He said no. I told him to go outside and check the weather. He came running back in and put on jeans and a sweatshirt and tennis shoes He just couldn't believe that it could LOOK so nice but be so chilly!

Do your SO's have a Jamaican nickname? If so, what is it? Why did they get it? And, do you call him that? Who else does?

Tony's nicknames are "Dread" and "Matterhorn" and "Franklin". I never call him by them! His friends and cousins call him by the first two. His family all call him Franklin He has no idea where Franklin came from!! I think I'm the ONLY one who calls him Tony!

......but, I see sex in almost everything there. The clothes, the dances, the songs, the billboards, the talk, the actions, the children. Not sure if you even get what I am trying to say. It just seems overly in your face to me.

I have wondered this too Even little girls are dancing around trying to do the dutty whine!!

I sat around with some girls (women?) one day talking about girly things. One girl was a masseuse (sp?). She went into great detail about how much money she was making by offering "extras" with their massages. She so matter-of-factly stated facts. I probably had flies buzzing around my gaping mouth.

For me, in my life, it just isn't every day stuff. When I was in Jamaica, it seemed to be.

That's how I must have looked when Tony first told me what goes on in the topless/ go-go bars in Jamaica. As far as offering "extras" with their lap dances. I was appalled and sick to my stomach Yes, I know it happens here occasionally, but not right in the middle of the bar with everyone watching! From what Tony said, if you go into a bar like that in JA, you expect that's going to happen. It's crazy.

Mindy and I was just discussing freaking out when we couldn't get our SO's on the phone. LDR's really suck sometimes.

Yeah, I feel like I'm in a LDR AGAIN Tony isn't even coming home this weekend because they have to work all weekend. I won't see him til next weekend! I'm getting flashbacks from the olden days!

I never go out anymore I can't drink, can't dance, and don't want to be in all the smoke while I'm preggo! Girl, trust me I have NO LIFE!
