I forgot to share my good news...........

Andre's health, dental, and life insurance kicked in yesterday (Oct. 1st). He will now pay just under $50 a check for what I was paying $278 a check for, for the last 16 months. I'm nearly giddy with joy today!!!!!!

Oh NO. There are plenty of other bills waiting in line.

Don't give him any ideas. Wonder how much one of those stupid things cost anyhow?

Rhonda,

You'll be fine Chica,...once that little bambino is out and you know that he/she depends on you...and Tony (but, I ain't gonna lie mainly you in the beginning  )...YOU WILL BE FINE!!! That maternal instinct kicks into high gear and you're off!!! Just find yourself a really good pediatrician (One that you feel comfortable with, that makes time to speak with you about anything related to your child, etc...) You'll be a fine Mommy Rhonda!!!

Blessings always, (L)

Gill

P.S.-Pray for a girl...cause boys just reek havoc on your nerves :lol:

Thanks :luv: I AM having a girl! (If the ultrasound is right!) I need to start looking for a pediatrician. What do I do, ask them if I can interview them? I don't want to wait til the baby's born to find one.

That's what we are talking about with Air Jamaica and their lack of customer service skills.

I've never flown them because they don't fly out of Detroit. Are most of the employees Jamaican? I have heard a lot of complaints about them (Air Jamaica) in the past few years.

Oh, please.........I have seen my husband drive. There is no way I am giving him a gun and letting him loose in the woods.

Andre said the same thing. When his mom is mad, she just whips out her knife.

:o I got beat with the wooden spoon when I was young - I thought THAT was bad! :P

Question:

Why is it bad (in Jamaica) to be slapped with a dish towel??? I swatted at Tony with one because he was teasing me and he flipped out! Said something about becoming lazy or something  Has anyone heard of this before?

Geez, I heard that one as a kid, but would be shocked that a grown person could really take it literally, he must be joking around.

It really means, if you get hit with a dish towel you will become a good for nothing, or just worthless, it's just silly Jamaican superstition, as you all know by now we are not lacking in that area.

Thanks. I think he still believes quite a few Jamaican superstitions

Take tons of parenting classes --together, if you can. Read lots of books. I personally loved the book....What to expect when you are expecting and the next one after that, what to expect the 1st year and the toddler one. Those books helped me with soooo many questions.

We went to our first prenatal class last night. Tony acted like he was there under gunpoint  I swear, he acts like this is just MY baby - like he wasn't at least 50% responsible for it! I don't know how to get him to be more supportive :crying:

As for the books, yes I have that one and others. Another good one is "The Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy". I also read "Pregnancy Sucks" and both of Jenny McCarthy's books, "Belly Laughs" and "Baby Laughs". Lots of fun.

Unfortunately Rhond,

This part for the men is kindda boring...you're getting all the 'action'! The kicking, moving etc...they can't feel that. But Girl, just wait til his cute little Baby Girl (Praying for you that the sono is correct  ) is born. He's not gonna have no choice but to fall in love with her. Trust me he will be fine. My idiot first husband was like that too at first...but when his boys got here I had to beat him with a stick to keep him away! (Which to tell the truth I really didn't mind too much ;) )
