Last year, Andre wanted only clothes and shoes. For his birthday he wanted a watch. This year for Christmas he wants a chain with some bling on it and one other thing that I can't quite remember right now.

That sounds a lot like Tony! Only he wanted so MUCH bling that I split it into 2 gifts! I got him the chain for x-mas and a pendant for the chain for his birthday. He bought his own watch a while back, but I think he wants a new one soon. Knowing him, it will be something really expensive

Question- My hubby is missing cornmeal porridge. Does anyone know how to make it or have a reciepe? Thanks

How come he doesn't know how to make this? Andre makes it for me all the time.

Tony hasn't made it in YEARS. He says he doesn't really remember how to make it either - that's probably why he keeps postponing it

She right on the mark, Rhonda. My son was almost 10 pounds at birth. I gave him cereal in his bottle at one month to enable him to sleep through the night.

Ok, so now I'm thinking you must make the cereal really thin to be able to put it in the bottle? I'm so overwhelmed I know my mom had really big babies - me and my sister both weighed over 10 pounds - and she said she gave us cereal really early on too. I'm gonna need a book on how to do this stuff

Yes, good idea. I worked in retail for a bit back in the day and I remember the holiday craze. People can be soooooo rude and obnoxious sometimes.

I am a little nervous because I have sooo many shoes that I feel a little gluttonus (is that a word)..I have tried to warn Kevin about my shoe obsession but how can you prepare a man who has 3 pairs that you have 100+?????

Tony still makes fun of all my shoes. Last time I counted, it was around 75 or 80. I honestly don't even wear half of them anymore now that we don't go out clubbin' much. Pregnancy and high heels don't mix

No, thank goodness Tony hasn't. I know he wouldn't handle it well at all. I thank God that at least most Americans here don't know the meaning of 'chi chi' mon because Tony is none too quiet when he sees one

Yeah, I think that's a general misconception - especially among guys. They think the gay man is automatically attracted to them just because they're MALE! Most of the time, they're looking for other GAY men, not straight, married men But try convincing your Jamaican man of this!! My friend Jackie had a cousin who recently came out of the closet and all of them were supposed to vacation together this past summer. Her JA husband was freaking out about it! I don't remember how it turned out....

I grew upon cream of wheat and grits so corn meal porridge seems so basic to me. Its jsut a standard morning meal. Had it before school alot. Its not like otameal though cause its creamier.

I just want to try it because I've never had it. And Bob Marley sings about it in one of my favorite songs I remember my sister eating something when we were kids called Cocoa Wheats? I bet that was chocolate cream of wheat right? I think I used to eat oatmeal instead.

A man at work pinched his nipple, why I do not know , hubby almost lost his job . Told the guy he didn't know who the hell was F@#King with and to stay away from him. I was like really in disbelief.

I tried out a 'new' Jamaican restaurant that I found online. I surprised Tony with some curry goat and I had curry shrimp. It was so yummy They even gave us a few pieces of fried plantain with it in addition to rice-n-peas for me and dumpling & banana for Tony. I wish it were closer - it's about 20-25 minutes drive from us - but it was really good. I'm getting hungry again just thinking about it!!
