Question????? Please help.

Do pre-existing medical conditions follow from Jamaica to the US? A's daughter is currently hospitalized and may have a heart condition. We want to bring her here...but I'm afraid that she will not be able to be covered under my medical coverage if they find out she already had the heart condition. Do you have any idea on whether the medical exam in Kingston for the visa will include this info?

Never heard of it being included, even if it WERE, there is no way the insurance company could find out from the USCIS.

Thank you for responding. I am freaking out because I feel so helpless. A said he is counting on me to be his rock, he needs me to be strong and be the voice of reason when he is losing it, and I cry as soon as he hangs up. I'm still in pain, and I am a nervous wreck! Our baby girl is suffering, and I can't do anything. *crying*

My sister scared me and told me that medical records follow you no matter what, and that she would not be able to be covered under my insurance because it would be a pre-existing condition.

Also, her mother doesn't want to let her or her older sis come...I told him to try and presuade her with 6 months here and 6 months there. HELP ME!!!!! \o/ /o\ /o\

Finesse - Congratulations on having gotten the passport in hand. I am so happy for you :dancing::dance:

VJ Family - Thank you all for the great preparation. I don't think we could have done this without you. I will post the experience in the Embassy link, but I can say, it was no more than 5 minutes that we were interviewed for before she approved us. Only a handful of people had been approved that day :( . My heart broke especially for the children that were told more evidence was needed for their case.

Much love for you all. Just got in, so I am off to get somewhat of a good night's sleep for another day at work.

Tam,

I am so happy that you two got through...God is good ALL the time, ALL the time God is GOOD!!

But, I'd be lying if I didn't tell you that post is now making me a little nervous! That's so sad! I assume they were all different types of visas, not just K1 or K3's? Anyway, all I can do is pray that when the time comes for us, Jah-jah will shine down his blessings, and we will get through.

Again Baby Girl, so so happy yuh git through...dat ah di greatest ting!

(L) Gill

Don't worry, don't fret. I am not totally sure all the types of visas that were interviewed on Friday. There were 2 ladies whose husbands were not with them. They were asked to bring more proof of their relationships and the CO's strongly encouraged that their SO's accompany them to the next interview. The CO asked one of them if she had children (NO), does her husband have any children (Not that he ever told me). Ask your huband who is (name).

Gill, I wouldn't be concerned. WE get such really good info on here that I know you will be prepared when your time comes.:yes:

Thanks again Gill. You kept me focused :luv:

I've been touched!!!!!....(some say I am already touched  )

Congratulations :thumbs::dance:

All

Tamieka and Aaron aka JA TAM was approved for their Visa today.:dance: She sounds really happy! I only spoke with her briefly so I don't have any details. She should be back on line on Sunday.

Jenice

Congrats!

Thanks Anna.

Don't know if this will help, but I heard the CO ask the children if they were sick. Don't know if this is noted anywhere and could cause a problem. I'll be praying Jawi (L)

Hey Ladies,

I have been away for forever it seems. So much good news!! woo hoo!!

I have some news of my own.

Well, I just got married in June this past summer and I stayed in Jamaica all of June and all of July (I am a teacher..summers off). I have been twice since then. We have attempted to file VISA papers several times (long story) and ultimately we have prayed about it and decided at the end of this school year I AM MOVING TO JAMAICA! Its a big decision but one that will be awesome for us I think. Now..what about jobs?

egh..

We are going to open a restuarant but maybe I should still take a job to begin with? I am torn b/c that means I am taking a job from a Jamaican, but that also means I will be spending that same money in Jamaica..so doesnt that balance out? (trying to make myself feel less guilty...haha)

ANY ADVICE?!?!?!?!

THANKS!!!!

Good luck shrewdgal. I'll be praying for your success.

No negativity JALOVE...We'll be praying about it. That is my dream as well; that Aaron and I will move back to Jamaica when it's more feasible.

Thanks...I used the link you gave and found what I needed. Is there anything else my fiance needs to sign or obtain while I'm in JA this week? We already did the G-325's, the letters of intent and got the passport photos. Can anybody think of anything else? I made copies of my boarding passes, passport etc. from my trip down there in July. I have other secondary evidence too but I just don't want to overdo it you know?

Jawi, don't worry.

Jamaica doesn't have a centralized medical system, there is no way the insurance company can check even if they tried.

When my husband added me to his insurance, there was no question asked, I guess it depends on the insurance company if they even ask ANY questions....

Jawi, don't worry.

Jamaica doesn't have a centralized medical system, there is no way the insurance company can check even if they tried.

When my husband added me to his insurance, there was no question asked, I guess it depends on the insurance company if they even ask ANY questions....

Ditto!! We have the same issue, My hubby answered no as well!! His daughter had to have surgery to have a mass removed. And of course at the medical he denied it for the same resaons you are concerned, mostly denial of the visa, he denied her having any problems.

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions about how to "organize" the I-129f before I send it in? I read somewhere to include a cover letter outlining what's in it and some other suggestions but I can't remember where I saw that now? I'm going to JA on friday to see my fiance and was hoping to send it in when I got back.

Is there a link or a site that tells you how to put the petition together. I want to make it as easy to read as possible! LOL

Any advice would be great, thanks!

Hey tnw - the info you're looking for is in the K1 guide: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1guide

Don't forget the letter of intent one for him and one for you. Congrats and best wishes on your journey
