My son has had my parents tell him last summer not to bring "those kinds of people over to their house" to go swimming. I am teaching MY son that color does not make the person....and I laugh, ALL of my sons friends are black and one is black/japanese and yes, I choose to live a "double life" because "I" do not want my son to be subjected --every time he would go to their house to have my parents say rude and ignorant things to him about Craig and trust me.........that WOULD happen. The say the "n" word not even knowing Craig!!!

Yes Kelly this is just sad and If it were me, honestly, seeing how you and your parents were never really that close in the first place. I would tell them and not give a rats flying assss about what they think, and if they start that drama ####### around my son, they could forget ever seeing him again. It sounds a bit harsh, but I'm sure your son picks up on thier behavior.

I made that very clear from the start....to everyone I knew. If anyone hurt Andre in any way, they were permanently out of my life. No second chances.

I hear that JG - anybody wanna come test my husband it's on. If they cannot accept him as a part of my life or do anything deliberately to hurt him then they are dismissed. I know that ppl say you shouldn't turn on family but sometimes family will do more to bring you down than a stranger or an enemy.

Kelly - hang in there. Your family supporting your siblings moreso than you just made you a stronger person. I know that feeling 100%. Just give thanks for what the Lord has blessed you with and continue to do the best job you can as a wife, friend and mother.

Different topic...

David got his medical done today. Total cost for the medical and the two shot was $7800 JA. He did not have any records for his previous shots taken. He went to Dr Banbury. I thought I would share this info since it appears the cost at other places was almost twice the amount for the VJ members.

I've asked before but I'm a bit concerned about video games and a CD player we purchases for his daughter, should I just say that the items are mine if they ask? Keep walking? what? My bags have always been seached on prior visits, I have never had to pay, but this time I have soo much more stuff?

Why were your bags checked? Bring all the valuable gifts in your carry-on bag and when they ask if you have anything tell them NO.

Have a wonderful trip!!

I forgot to tell you Sarah's good news. Marlon arrived in Arizona around 10 p.m. Friday night. He had to navigate 3 airports and had a 3-hour delay in Chicago (we had horrible weather in the midwest Friday); but arrived safe and sound.

I talked to Sarah on Saturday and she was happy as could be. She said so far she had introduced him to Del Taco and some friends. She had that "pinch me I must be dreaming" mentality going on.

She said to tell you guys her story and that all is well. She'll be back on when she can.

Oh, that's so sweet. So happy for her.

ok ladies i am stressing out about this...not sure what to do...what the right answer is....i called my insurance to see what is all included as i will need to start seeing a dr. pretty soon and they said maternity is NOT covered...it is a al' a cart option that i didn't pick when i signed up for it...well duh of course i didn't wasn't planning on getting preggo....so they said i could add it but it wouldn't cover this current pregnacy...so what do i do....i have been told to look into state funded programs...but will that effect mike and his AOS...i started filling out a application online but stopped when it started asking questions abot mike and who sponsered him blah blah blah....

so my next thought was if i couldn't do that i came across a maternity card...it is not insurance but will give you a discounted price and can save you up to 60%....

or should i maybe cancel my half of the insurance and get another plan that will cover me? i am just not sure what to do i need to bounce these thoughts off of you ladies......

You might want to speak to a medicaid rep but I dont think that will be a problem. It's not like your receiving food stamps or cash. It's a Medicaid/Medical card and you should be able to recv that even if you work esp if you're pregnant. What about your local clinics or hospitals. I know here where I live they have two hospital and both have family clinics in them. While I was pregnant w/my daughter I was registered w/one of them and my copays (per doctor visit) and the birth was on a pay scale based on my income.

I don't know about that one. I tried to sign up for Medicaid when I was let go from my job while pregnant with my oldest child. Because they gave me some severence pay, I wasn't eligible for the Medicaid. They kept insisting on offering me food stamps, which I didn't want; but refused the Medicaid, which I needed. It was maddening.

If you aren't happy with that card plan you signed up for, talk to a social worker. They are pretty good at giving you all options available to you and helping you sign up for things.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Who has one of those? Are they sturdy?

They just look to me like they would tip right over.

I am LOVING the green one. My favorite color.

Me me me!!

They may look like they will tip over but nope, no way.

Right now my son is using the bassinet as a crib, I have him right by the bed and can wheel him into the living room if he's awake and I need to do something.

I have the green :)

It is pretty cool.

OK, now the BIG question........how much does one of those cost?

*coughs*

erm

*coughs again*

just erm $700

I said because the man from the hardware store is from JA and I'm not...I'm in brooklyn
