Beautiful baby. Congrats to you.

We had a lunar eclipse last night. Today, I found this in our local paper. Maybe you guys won't find it interesting; but I did:

Today's event reminded history buffs that half a millennium ago, Christopher Columbus used a lunar eclipse to pull himself out of a bind. Advertisement

On Feb. 29, 1504, Columbus found himself stranded on Jamaica with the crew members from the four vessels he'd taken on his final voyage to the New World.

The sailors were out of food, and the Indians of Jamaica were refusing to give them any.

So Columbus resorted to a sly trick. He knew from his sailor's almanac that a lunar eclipse was due that Leap Year Day's night. So he told the Indians that unless they provided food to him and his men, he'd take away their moon.

The Indians scoffed at Columbus. But a few hours later, they saw the moon vanishing, bit by bit. Panicked, they ran to fetch food for the sailors.

"Unfortunately the visa has not been printed as yet but not to worry, it

should be by the end of this week."

I received the above letter from the embassy this morning, I had a tentative reservation for Saturday, based on that email, I think I will just cancel the reservation because I would have to pay for the ticket today?

Next week is another shortened work week because of the general election.

It would've been closed anyhow for Labor Day.

Hubby was asking me last night how long it would take for him to get his passport with the visa. I told him about Kimmy & Kashi's time frame, but that a few people who did theirs a few days before the hurricane, still have not been blessed with theirs. I always feel bad when FutureMrs says she based part of her hopes on my time line from last year. We went so fast.

I, too, have been praying for all of those waiting. Didn't forget you, Jay. Can't wait to hear all the good news from you guys.
