This is moving at warp speed now faster than i thought. Called NVC they have my case already and i just got approval last friday. Gave me case number is that the visa number? Said they will be mailin it to Embassy in 2-4 weeks

I think so, they told in an email from embassy in Jamaica that this is the number to use whenever I'm seeking information about my case. I got the letter from NVC within a few days after they sent the case to Jamaica.

you know I read some place that if you filled in the area on the DS 230 where they asked u would like them to generate a social security card u don't have to go to the social security office. Has anyone heard of this ? or am I just totally making this up

mr jengles is due to arrive tomorrow and its going to rain here tomorrow nite i hope his flight doesn't get delayed into the weekend

Are you sure they are "waiving" it? I wouldn't count on that till we hear something official. I don't remember Sarah saying that Marlon had to sign a waiver and he didn't have his non-impediment either. If I remember right, she said he wasn't even asked for it.

We all know how they seem to change the rules depending on how the wind is blowing on any given day.

Anyone reading this, please continue to get that non-impediment form until we hear something officially.

Yes, I am totally freaking out right now Tropical Storm Dean is heading right for Jamaica I fly out on Saturday morning. I am hoping and praying that it either changes it's track or stays a tropical storm and does NOT progress into a Hurricane!!!!

So Dean is now officially a Cat 1 hurricane (almost Cat 2) and current path takes it right over JA. They are now predicting it could get up to Cat 4 by Tuesday, which I think could be the day it will be closest to Jamaica.
