We got approved!!!!!!!!!

:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

I am soooo excited! And Jay introduced himself to Marlon!!!

OMG! :crying: I am soooo relieved!

Marlon said that he got the "serious" lady and he wasn't asked any questions, she told him to verbalize the WHOLE story! :wacko: But he did it! I am soooo proud of him! Next step visa and get him here! They didn't even ask him for the non-impediment form!

Thanks everyone for your support and well wishes! I hope Kim and Jay will tell us they have been approved as well!

YAYAYAYAYAYAYA!

Hey Sarah;

I am so extremely happy for you and Marlon. I know you can't wait for him the get here and start the next step of your journey. :dance::dance::dance:

Congrats and may God bless you both.

Much Luv

What time is Jay & Donna's appointment.....does anyone know?

Their time was the same as Marlon's! I can't wait to hear from Jay and Kim!

Thanks again for all the prayers and well wishes, they helped!

Air-Pak told Marlon 4-6 days so not gonna book that ticket until he has his visa in hand! I am hoping he can be here next week!

Empress: I was screaming too when he told me! lol :dance:

Yes, we are through also. Marlon is a nice guy. I'm glad Donna and I were able to meet him. We were interviewed at the same time and ended up at Air-Pak at the same time. The whole process once inside the Embassy took less than an hour! We were out of the embassy about 8:50am. We arrived and stood in line at 6:30. We were doing good until they found Donna's cell phone. She had to go back outside and rejoin the line while I went down to the interview area to wait. It wasn't long and we were back together and finished. There were only a few questions that Donna and myself were asked at Window 3. They asked us for our own personal information. Donna was asked for her phone number and I was asked for mine.

We have just had a portrait made and using the computer at an internet cafe here in Kingston. Thank you everyone for your help these past months and for everyone's prayers this past few days. VJ helps but it is God who saw us through so easily.

Hey Jay CONGRATS.

Now the real celebration begins. May you continue to keep God in the vessel so you can smile at the storm.

In my 10 1/2 yrs going to Jamaica....shoot it's eeeeverywhere!!! My best friend "smokes" and I do the drinkin. I've never touched the stuff, no cigarettes, cigars either. No desire. My parents were heavy cigarette smokers and like AlienUK, me and my brother & sister don't smoke (although they've both dabbled in other stuff). When my son hasn't joined me on my trips to Jamaica and it's only me and my best friend.....and then Craig and friends, dear god....it's crazy !!! I've been around the heeeeavy smokin.... I just pop open a cold one.

Craig was a a veeeeery very hard smoker (since he was 15) and after 3 weeks being in this country and not smoking, he went into some serious detox!!! That's when alot of changes occured (heads up for those men/women that smoke and won't be able to when they get here). I can't even remember the last time he's smoked now?? He says he doesn't miss it anymore.

Sending good vibes for those at their interviews today !! :thumbs:

Why they can't do it here? I know several ppl that smokes all the time like it's a cigarette. They won't touch the "cancer stick" but smoke spliffs like it's going out of style. That stuff is sooooo easy to find that sometimes I forget it's illegal. :lol: My mother was never a smoker and hates the smell of it, but my dad is a different story. He smoke daily after he gets off of work as a relaxer. When we go out to the reggae clubs the whole place of full of it. It's like instant contact.

I think most just chill after they arrive b/c it's not the same. The stuff here is processed.

I've always thought that maybe the reason why kids of heavy smokers don't really smoke is that the fact the parents smoke takes all the 'mystique' out of it....No shock value there!!!

In Jamaica though, none of my women friends smoke, it's seen as 'loose' or at least used to be, not sure how it is now...

It still is but depends on where you're from. I noticed "country" and "town" ppl think differently when it comes to that. I think it just depends on how you were raised.

Got a touch on Sun. and yesterday for my K-3. Does mean today i get an APPROVAL? Pray for me please

You call the CSC # and follow the prompts to the RFE line. You will then talk to a live CSC rep and just tell them you saw your case was scanned on 8/13 & 8/14 and wanted to know if you should be expecting a RFE. That is how I found out I was approved b/c the status line online wasn't being updated at the time. Good luck!
