Oh no.....X ray machine is broken. I'll advise my fiance tomorrow is his appointment. Please advise on his final bill. I think my fiance should be okay with the fees...just want to give him an idea of how much it costs with 3 shots.

yeah, my fiance said it's pretty busy there. he said the bill was a bit more than $11,000J. i hope that's the total bill and not just what the immunizations cost. he said he brought $95US for the exam fee plus another $8,000J for shots.

he met a distant cousin at the exam today. he has a unique last name and there was another man there with the same last name. they chatted for a bit about their common relatives and exchanged numbers. imagine that!

so minfay, will his immunization card be sufficient for the aos?

so now that we know what they do to the men, what do the women have to endure? do they have to get pelvic exams?

It all depends if you are required to do the interview for AOS or not. If not, then, yes, the card is sufficient. It was for us. If you interview, it appears you need the civil surgeon involved.

i'm going to say that in NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!! Darlene who DID NOT have a interview was RFE'd for not habing a medical exam...i would say it all depends on who reviews your case....

I think you're right. It all depends on who and what kind of mood they are in that day.....same goes for the interviews in Kingston  There are a lot of people who "get away" with not providing exactly what was asked for -- then there are some who provide everything down to the letter and they have problems. It's just a ####### shoot.....

My fiance has to get two shots today at the medical. Total cost of medical exam...a whopping....$11,000. It's a rip off. :o

Wow, I wonder how much it would cost for all the shots? Javon needs them b/c he immunization card was destroyed in Ivan.

Melvin got half of his shots about a month ago and the other half two days ago and it came to about $8000 JA. Its so funny because if you call the medical offices that the embassy states you should go to they tell you to come there and that you shouldn't go anywhere else. Yes, they are supposed to the exam for the interview but they do not necessarily have to give the shots. If you go outside of them just make sure that the DR. signs and dates your card for the immunization records so that you can show the insisted doctors the proof. They just want your damn money.

Its also so surprising because my fiance melvin got sick two days ago (sick now) after getting 3 shots. So, just imagine when you go to the embassy's insisted doctors and they give you all of the shots at one time (if you need it). Is that even safe? They truly don't even know how a person is going to react to the vaccinations. They don't care. All they care about is getting their money. Any comments on this?

Yeah I know this is a pain in the butt...but you can in fact get all shots one time just not in the same spot. Just like babies get their required shots at once

We got the RFE because his vaccination card was not transcribe to the 693 form. I had just made a copy of the card and sent it in know the RFE was coming and it gave us time to find a civil surgeon and have it completed. Not another physical. In fact they did that for free and he got 2 shots and submitted it to the my health insurance. I don't think they should have but nothing has come back.

WE ARE DONE!!!

Wish I had known about that varicella vaccine, maybe then I wouldn't have gotten chickenpox last month

Though it was fun getting an impromptu 2 week vacation

wow jengles it's a good thing the visa came fast. how exciting!

my poor fiance's arm is sore from being "jooked" at the medical. they gave him 2 shots in the right arm and one in the left. i remember reading a suggestion to have the i-693a filled out at the medical and then placed in a sealed envelope. so he asked about this form and no one had any idea what he was talking about, lol. all he got was his immunization card that documents the 3 shots he received at the medical. should i be concerned?

That should be good to take to the Civil Surgeon.....along with the invoice from the medical. If he is knowledgeable he will fill out the I693a and sign it. No worries

I did.

I only have copies printed. I e-filed my tax returns. Do I get the printed copies notarized? :help:

I had copies of the tax returns I had filed, with signature(s) and all. I took them to a notary, resigned and dated them on the bottom and had them notarized. I remember feeling this was really important to do cause we made a special trip to a crazy pharmacist/notary in Jamaica to have them done.
