Today is not a good day  The buddy pass idea went kaput and there is no way I can afford a plane ticket so Marlon will be on his own.

Can't you just charge it on a credit card and pay it off later? One of my friends used her student loan money to visit JA every time she went!! There's always a way.

The first thing she says is where is your fiance? So he goes on to explain the story and shows her some more proof (she was a little nicer this time)...some more photos, phone bills, etc....and she said "ok, i've seen enough papers and photos, now i just need to see your girl...please bring her here and there will be no more trouble for you" and she gives him another blue slip....and she writes on it 'fiance to attend' and then gives him a new date August 30!!! This is too funny! Here we go again!

Oh my gosh :o Why are they so adamant about you being there? This is the first time I've seen this required AND in writing on the blue slip. What is your age difference by the way? I can't think of anything else that would make them so suspicious.

Good luck

Ok, I'm all caught up now on my VJ reading!! My washing machine died the other day. What's a good brand to buy? I've never had to buy one before.

Tony finally found and bought a new truck last week. It's a MAN truck as he puts it  It's huge! I need to take a pic of him in it with his big ole smile on his face :luv:

One of my friends used her student loan money to visit JA every time she went!! There's always a way.

i had to laugh when i read this because i wanted to go back to school this summer and i was sho nuff gonna use my loan money to pay for the wedding! but as it turns out, i can't start the coursework for my intended major until next summer.

rhonda you should see my basement. it's an appliance graveyard. when my washer and dryer gave up the ghost and just went to a used appliance store and bought a new set. my basement stairs are steep so by the time the delivery guy got the replacements downstairs he was too tired to take the old ones back to the shop.

finesse it's a good thing you can look at this with humor. at least you got a date at the end of august which is what you needed.

Hi!

Has anyone heard from Finesse about getting their visa? Just curious.

The last time i spoke to her she said they're waiting on a date from the medical

When Andre's sister was caught (smoked on the way to the medical), they told her right away.

I HAVE A ? WHEN U SEND IN UR PHONE BILL DO U HIGHLIGHT ALL OF UR CALL

Really...i thought they give the embassy the info and they told them then..I don't know...but we'll know soon i guess :) God is on our side

I didn't because it was too many calls to highlight.

I didn't either. It would've been easier to highlight the ones that weren't to/from Jamaica.

And, at the end, they were all through 3Utelecom which was me calling an 800 number and then punching in his JA number when prompted. So all that showed up was a WHOLE BUNCH of calls to the same 800 number. They never questioned.

That is just crazy how they can just make people lives hell and have no care in the world about it. At least you have a date that's not a million months away..all will work out...

Keep that sense of humor going and u'll be fine :)

Glad to hear that you have a date that will work for you Finesse

I wonder why they are so bent on seeing you in person...If you are comfortable doing so I would ask why they just had to see you...tell her curious minds want to know :P

Yeah it's a bit bizarre that they MUST see you.

Last year. Because she's crazy like that. She paid the doctor off and got her visa.

3 months is plenty long. A few weeks would've worked. No worries.

I was pretty adamant on the point. I said if I go through all of this paperwork and hassle and then you screw it up cause of this, I will fly down there and kill you.

How long have you guys known each other? There's gotta be something (probably stupid) as to what *they* are seeing or reading into. Have you been down to see him alot ? Has it been awhile since you guys saw each other?

Has he filed before ?

Alot of people don't have credit cards....just debit cards. If she can't go because of finances, there's no other way than. Yes it's frustrating....
