Ok this maybe a silly question..Hubby doesn't need to bring the xrays to the interview right...?

thanks

Kimmy

you mean the x-rays from the medical? he shouldn't have them...the place where he got the medical should have them and should send them over to the embassy for the interview

Really...he said they gave them to him...and others that were there with him...

So does that mean the xrays are given back at the embassy? Do they even know what they r looking for on an xray? I'll have to check this out

Thanks Nannygirl

Congrats Denden!!!

Well, we went to get a maariage license today, we get married on Tuesday :)

They didn`t even ask for ID!

Applied for my SS number yesterday, there they wanted my passport.

That's great, AlienUKGirl. :D Are you nervous ?

You know, I'm quite nonchalant about it, I guess I'm not attaching a huge significance to the ceremony because while we both love each other and want to get married, this feels like more hoop-jumping. We are getting married quicker than we would have liked, in a place we didn't want to get married in because it's what we need to do...

Now, we are planning a 'proper' ceremony in Jamaica next year, and I'm really excited about that.....

my wedding in JA was so nice I decided not to have one up here, it would probably cost 5x as much up here for what I got down there!

ok...i rechecked with mike...and at the interview they will give him his x-rays in a large sealed envelope that he takes with him on the airport and hands to the POE Officers. they will then give him back his x-rays.....so he really should not have them they should be with his medical and deliverd to the embassy....i would call the medical place and ask them what is up....In other words to answer your very first question...YES he needs to bring the x-ray with him...

alienuk, getting married is another hoop to jump through. especially since it has to be done so soon after you come to the states. but it's also the day you're united with the love of your life so make sure you enjoy every moment of it.

jengles and kimmy, i really wanted to have my wedding in jamaica too. my fiance and i went with the k-1 because it was supposed to be the fastest. i'm a bit bummed out about it now.

that is exactly how i feel, we were going to have something this october up here, but then I thought about all that money we would have to spend! and with me having the baby I said nope that money could be spent better saving for a bigger house. I currently live in a NYC apartment . I also had hubby pretend I worked in Negril and couldn't get any days off, so we could get a better rate. Cause once vendors heard me speak on the phone that was it, the rates would suddenly go up!

Destiny - are u planning on having a big ceremony up here?

We saw the Transformer movie last night and it was great I highly recomend it to those who grew up watching the cartoon transforms.

I saw it too. It was good! Did you notice all the GM vehicles in the movie? And GM is using the movie in a lot of their new commercials. They have some kind of deal going on together.

That's about 12 interviews a week!!!!! I mean I they can do more than twelve. This is implying that the number is low due to the amount of time it takes to complete the process.

That's only the number of visa's that actually get ISSUED. There are probably thousands more that get denied every year.

You MUST give them the I693a in a sealed envelope when you file the AOS. You will get an RFE if you don't.

Has anyone gotten an RFE for this RECENTLY?? We never sent in an I-693 with our AOS stuff. All I sent them was a copy of the vaccination report that Tony brought with him from Jamaica.
