I just heard about this on CNN:

LONDON, England (CNN) -- Police say they have deactivated a suspected bomb in the center of London, raising renewed fears of a terrorist strike almost two years after the city was hit by deadly suicide bombers.

Scary stuff :girlwerewolf2xn: Aliengirl - I hope this doesn't delay your flight somehow. Are you flying out of London?

There were masses of police at and around the airport, but no other changes that I noticed!

This question must have been asked a million times but forgive me. Did I need to have our affidavit of support notarized? Cause I didn't

YES, definitely do need to get it notorized!

Ok, !! this is sooo interesting cause I sent him the affidavit already..can he get it notorized there or i have to do it over and send it to him pronto ? U know I sent in a copy that was not notorized..and I thought the form said I didn't need to get it notorized...WOW !! :ranting:

plus now the forms changed..I don't wanna fill out anything more ...

Kimmy -- it's no biggie. Fill out a new form, get it notarized and send it down to him. You still have time. (He can't get it notarized there -- the notary is suppose to watch you sign your name then they stamp the form -- unless he can find someone who is willing to stamp it without you being present.....)

Before you know it you will be done with all this silly paperwork :dance:

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!

After a scary trip to the ER on Sunday evening (just hours after I watched my SIL deliver my second nephew (L)) I am finally starting to feel like myself again. Baby woke me up with some serious movement last night. Hubby put me in his lap and tried to rock me to sleep  because he knows I'm miserable if I don't get at least 7 hours.

I am going to visit a friend - the same night Gyptian will be here :crying: but oh well. I'll try to catch a show later on in the year.

Hey Mindy!

Aliengirl - safe travels! Please pm me once you get settled here in the States.

Ebony - congrats on finally getting visa

Congrats to all those I missed that had any positive changes in regards to their visa processes

yeah kimmy i'm pretty sure the police record is in a sealed envelope. i remember someone saying a few months ago during their interview that a consular officer with a stank attitude complained that people never open the envelope and that it was an extra inconvenience for her to have to wait for them to open it.

oh lord i'm climbing the walls waiting for word on an interview date! they don't answer my emails, they don't answer the phone...

they wanna be closed today? no worries, i'll still be blowing up their phone line on monday!

Hopefully they are training new employees for the job! They are so unorganized. They usually answer my emails because I send 2-3 of them at the same time so that I know they cant miss it. Not too many though, I don't want them to think that I am being a smart a$$
